Stopped in on an evening stroll down Main Street. Heard about the "Shag lessons" on Tuesday nights so we went back for that. Quite the crowd for the lessons, but fun to participate in even with my teenage daughters. So far, the few times we have visited it's been slow, but still a place you should visit if in NMB.

I have been going to Fat Harold's for 20 years, and I have never experienced the rude clientele as at Fat Harold's in July 2016. The bar tender was great and we had fun dancing, but we had two separate instances where old men were rude and one wanted to fight. Really? Who has time for that?

Had a wonderful time learning a South Carolina classic dance, "The Shag". Free lessons for an hour and a half were top rate. He took plenty of time making sure everyone got it. Well worth the visit. Reasonable drinks too.

Harold's is one of everyone's favorite places to go in N Myrtle, but it is so popular it's hard to move around much during SOS..

The sound system is good for the music, but I don't bother trying to listen to what the DJ tries to say. Maybe it's my own ears though. Great dance floor. Be ready to bump into other dancers at night for sure.

We had the best time watching all the locals do "The Shag" Being from the west coast we had never heard of the shag until one of my daughters co-workers recommended us visiting. We loved watching young and old alike dancing to great music and doing their version of the shag. The place was hopping and it looked like so... More

Great place to meet people who love to shag. The employees are very helpful and the music is great. They also have free shag lessons and a grill. Love it.

If you want to learn to Shag Dance, which is the state dance for South Carolina, check this place out! They do free beginner lessons. Just go to their website to learn about the days and hours of the lessons.

This is an excellent bar and beach club with focus on music for shagging. There is a $10 cover charge unless you are a member of the Society of Shaggers. They have limited food and service which is the reason for the "very good" vs "excellent" score , but the emphasis is on the music and the dancing. I definitely... More
