Yes there are newer spots, but we love the feel of Barefoot Landing. Been going there since it opened 40 years ago. Great for the kids to run around, full amusement section in the summer, great shops for the wife and really wide selection of restaurants. Two or three wine tasting shops!! Our family fav is Del Sol. Wife has... More

This is a great area with cute shops and quaint restaurants. It can get very busy, especially in the summer. One of our favorite places to eat with kids is Ultimate California Pizza. Not as much to do as Broadway on the Beach but it's still in a great location especially if you are staying at North Beach Plantation.

Looking for something different while in Myrtle Beach? Visit Barefoot Landing - just for lunch, for a day outing, for a nature walk or a shopping spree. Just off the highway you will find this delightful paradise. Stroll over bridges gazing at fish, bask in sunlight, slip into unique shops, then have lunch at one of the many awesome restaurants.... Nice shoppes and restaurants. This visit we only ate at a couple places. Weather was not good for walking around and shopping.

We visited the Flying Fish restaurant and hadn't been there in years. It was fabulous. We love Wild Wing Cafe (the potato soup) and Umbertos. In the winter you can find these places open, not much else.

I enjoyed visiting many of the various shops and just browsing, among them were jewelry shops, ice cream shops, clothing, gifts, candy, wine with wine tasting and various restaurants to chose from
