Drove down to see the pier. Pulled into the only parking we could find & it was $10. It’s an additional $3 per person just to walk out on pier. We tried to sit outside & have adult beverages at restaurant but unless we were eating we couldn’t sit outside - very strange. We won’t be returning.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We do offer free parking in the parking garage across the street. Unfortunately, with the state regulations our seating area at the bar is closed. We do offer seating in our restaurant area for food and drinks. We do hope you will give us another try.

It was a very cold and windy day, but, we went anyway. We only walked the pier, very few people fishing. Luckily, we parked in the parking garage across the street and picked one of the FREE spots that the Pier owns. The open parking lot is $10 per day, if your only visiting for a short period of time, use the local APP for parking and find another spot to part if all the Free Spots in the garage are taken.

They were super nice, my son whos autistic wanted to fish and got stuck at the end of the pier in a BIG thunderstorm. And we only got to fish for an hour after, but I was really hurting and accidently knocked my daughters drink out of her hand. And I started to cry, because I was hurting little did I know I got stung by a jellyfish the day before and one of the staff members helped me identify it!

Much too expensive. $3.00 admission plus $7.50 per rod (our own rods) not rented plus small container of bait, over $50.00 for 3 adults and 1 teen. Luckily, we didn't pay for parking. That would've been another $10. Got there after 5pm, pier closes at 10 or 11. Caught a few fish too small to to eat. Packed up at 9:30.
I've pier fished for over 60 years. Now that I'm on social security, I can't afford this.

Drove to the Cherry Grove Fishing Pier on Aug 16th to do some fishing with family. Parked in a $10 lot right next to the pier. Paid $3 per person. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Purchased shrimp for bait. Brought our own chairs. Soda vending machines on the pier for $2.00 a soda. There is a small restaurant on the pier but we did not go in. There is also an ice cream booth. Son ordered a chocolate milkshake and said it was very good. Bathrooms on pier were clean and well maintained. Plenty of spots on pier for everyone to fish with proper distancing. We saw several sharks and sting rays swimming near the pier. Did not catch anything but had a great time.

Nice pier to take the kids to let them see the ocean up close. Didn't get to fish, but managed to walk out and get a few pics. Liked the 2 story observation deck. Didnt like how the parking was set up but will surely be back to fish next time I'm in NMBeach!

We fished and spent the morning out on the pier. We did catch some and got a few bites. Plenty of room to spread out. Great views and breeze out on the end. Friendly service and a good way to spend a few hours. Grabbed some ice cream on our way out which was awesome.

I loveCherry Grove and the pier is not exception. you can fish or just sight see, i like to watch people fish and have seen some amazing catches including sharks.
you can go down on the beach and enjoy a nice swim as well, i recommend going a little ways from the pier to swim though, due to the fishing.
In the summer they have nightly fireworks shows to entertain .
Its a big pier to with 2 levels.

It is a lot of fun to buy some ice cream and walk this pier. However, it is a fishing pier so beware of lines, and hooks and fish guts that can be found on the pier. If you have children with you, make sure you keep a close eye on them because it is a pier that is really used for fishing still. However, its a good value. Here is a tip, there are MANY SHARK TEETH in the sand below the pier. We found dozens. This was our first time ever finding shark teeth. It was easy and very neat for the kids:)

I wanted to write this review primarily to warn people to park in the parking garage across the street for free parking. The paid parking is $9 per vehicle! We just wanted to visit the pier to get some family pictures taken and were in two vehicles. $18 later, we found out about the free parking directly across the street from the paid parking and just a few steps further. Don't make the same mistake! Save your $$$! The pier is a beautiful back drop for family pictures though!
