We had gone to North Myrtle Beach area and went to Cherry Grove Pier - we met some other visitors that were staying at the Prince Hotel and they were saying how much they loved the area and the economical price of the hotel. We...More

Started visiting the pier when I was a child and came on family vacations. My husband loved to fish there and our grandson caught his first fish there. Great place.

This is a nice clean beach. It has plenty of parking. The day we were there, the wind was blowing and 40 degrees, but it did not keep my 5 year old grand daughter out of the water. She loved the water.

I went to a wedding on the pier and it was awesome. just be aware there is no parking near the pier so come early so you will have time to walk at least a half of mile to park.

NMB Experiences (27 Replies)
My family and I have been going to NMB for 20 years now and absolutely love going. Second home, as I am sure it is for many of you. With that said, I am always curious to learn about other peoples experiences, likes, dislikes, "typical days" etc. Some of the things we have done or continue to do are: Broadway, Barefoot Landing, Duffy's St. Seafood, Beach Everyday (obviously), Cherry Grove Pier, Main St NMB , Concerts on Main, Tanger Outlets, Grilling at the condo, Dinner shows, etc. ...More

We've never visited Cherry Grove before and are wondering if there is anything for teens to do near the Cherry Grove pier? Does anyone know if there are restaurants, ice cream stands or mini golf courses close by? We are traveling with teens and are hopeful that they'll find many activities to keep them occupied.

Thanks for the wealth of information! We stayed on Crescent Beach last year and rented a golf cart since we were a few blocks from the beach. This year's rental is only a few hundred feet from the beach and we're debating if we should rent a golf cart again. It sounds as if the teens (14,14, 16 & 17) should be able to walk anywhere they need to go. Is Cherry Grove a safe area? It sounds as if you are very familiar with the area. Any recommendations for good food, bars, music?

Help! Want to fish and play golf. (2 Replies)
My husband and I would like to stay in a little cottage on the beach near the Cherry Grove Pier. We are going to be there the last week of March. Any suggestions on which rental agency to call to get exactly what we want? We only want a one bedroom. Does that exist? Thanks so much for your help.
