I have seen Ryan on the water many many times with his clients. They seem to always be happy. As a rookie angler most guides in this area want even acknowledge you but this guys has a whole different make up. I was fishing in a little cove when he came by to check a crab trap he asked if I was having any luck. I replied just one Red drum. He said he just came back from the 3 mile reef with some nice flounder. Wow how many gudes would give you tips for free just in passing conversation. This man truly seems to be not only a great guide but more importantly a good man. Thanks Rayan for also showing me how to fillet the skin off a trout (Which is extremly difficult for a rookie like myself but he gave me some good pointers. I will be booking a trip soon Ryan!!! Thanks for everything.

We decided at the last minute to take a fishing trip last September (2019). My girlfriend had been out with Captain Ryan before and still had his number in her phone. She sent a text, and the next thing you know we were booked for the next day. Capt. Ryan had planned on spending that day with his family, but they encouraged him to take us. I'm so glad he did. The boys (6, 14, 15 at the time) were amazed at how Capt. Ryan caught our fresh bait with a cast net. They also got to see some crazy looking fish brought up in the net which we released back after pictures, of course. We stopped at a few of his traps and he offered to give us plenty of blue crab, but we weren't prepared to store them or cook them so we had to decline. When we started fishing, he had us just off the end of a jetty at the end of the estuary. It took a few minutes for the bite to pick up, but it did. I was fishing off the front for Spanish Mackerel, the boys were fishing off the sides for red fish, sea bass, or anything that might be feeding on the bottom, and my girlfriend was fishing towards the jetty for red fish. I caught a mackerel, she caught a nice red fish and lost one. The youngest hooked up with what was most likely a ray and was having a difficult time getting it off the bottom. The other boys took turns with the youngest fighting it until the pole and line finally snapped (sorry about the pole, Capt. Ryan). The youngest made up for it by landing a red that was actually too big to keep! He didn't understand the slot limit, but had a blast fighting and landing the fish. We moved into the river where we landed a couple more red fish keepers. From there, he positioned us over what I assume is an oyster bed. There were a whole lot of boats fishing the outgoing tide over that bed, but we were the envy of them all. It was one black drum (some were really big, too) after another, 2 or 3 hooked up at the same time on occasion. We just took turns reeling them in as the current was carrying the bait behind the boat. From there, we made our way back to the ramp where Capt. Ryan laid our fish out and took a group picture for us with our haul. He quickly and efficiently cleaned our fish and sent us on our way. Bottom line, Capt. Ryan put us on the fish and provided us with memories we will cherish forever. We just booked with him again for our annual Sept. trip (2020), and I can't wait to get out there. You can't beat his prices, and he is more than willing to work with you on the cost. Personally, I will pay his listed price without complaint until I find something cheaper that proves to be just as fun and memorable.

My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful time fishing with Captain Ryan! I highly recommend this charter. He cares so much about the quality of the trip. He took us to several good spots for catching bait and soon after fish! (Blue, flounder, shark, trigger, croaker, spot and pin to name a few.) He also checked his traps and I was able to bring home 15 big blue crabs! We fished in big open water, at the jetties and in the creek. He was very kind to make sure I was not getting seasick. He knows so much about the area and what's in the water. He's a patient teacher for those who have not fished in a while. We definitely plan to hired him again!

Captain Ryan worked hard to get us on fish and to make sure everyone had a good time. The bite was a little slow but he kept working and everyone caught fish, including a really nice shark which made the kids’ day and probably their entire vacation. Would definitely recommend!
