Glen Dornoch has an awesome layout and the views are a huge draw. Unfortunately, the greens we played today are TERRIBLE, the fairways, tee boxes are very nice, the staff most accommodating. The staff lowered the price of playing $2 because of the greens being horrific. I have never seen their greens in such bad bumpy, spotty shape and I... More

Went by in July. Running a special rate since greens were aerated. I played very fast as there was no one on course. Tee to green was in excellent shape. Aerated greens...very bad and they are going to take awhile to recover. Clubhouse was nice. Really great views on waterway!

This course is beautiful - 5 holes on the waterway ------- you are closer to the water on this course than any other- it feels as though you can touch the boats. It's a challenging course - but is doable. Hole 16 will be a challenge even for the best of golfers.....your second shot is a placement shot.......................a must play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... More

Three friends and I just returned from a golf outing to Myrtle beach / North Myrtle Beach and played 4 courses while there for 3 1/2 days and this was our absolute favorite. If you read the course recommendations that tell what tees to play given your handy-cup you will definitely fine the course more forgiving. Also remember the sea... More

Glen Dornoch is very challenging, and at times a bit hokey. By that I mean forced lay ups, and carries. The 2nd time around was a lot smoother, once we understood the course and knew where to hit the ball. The views are amazing, maybe the best I have ever seen on a course. 16, 17, 18 live up to... Our annual Myrtle Beach golf group have played this course each year for the past ten years and have enjoyed the challenge offered, particularly over the three finishing holes. This year we found the same challenges with one added - poor course condition. One would expect for the price charged the condition would be of the highest quality, but sadly... More

We played as part of a package deal from Glens Group - 36 holes with range balls and lunch. You just can't get a better deal anywhere. This course has a FANTASTIC LAYOUT!! There are 5 holes along the ICW. It's a real test of golf. The greens were firm and fast. So, that made things tough. The afternoon round... More

This is one of our favourite courses. Some of the holes are not easy and have difficult carries over hazards or environmentally sensitive areas. High handicappers should probably choose an easier course. The final 3 holes are always interesting. 16th doesn't have much leeway for offline second shots. 17th is a tight par 3, something like the 17th at Harbor... More

Always heard Glen Dornach was a great course, always in great condition. The actual experience is quite the contrary at present. Glen Dornach was our sixth golf round on this Myrtle Beach trip and the greens at the other five courses were in excellent condition. Unfortunately, that was far from the case at Glen Dornach. Most courses get their greens... More
