Enjoyed speaking with the owner about the wines and history of the Vineyard. He took time to not only explain the variety of grapes but a little story about each wine. The tasting room is very quaint, spacious and comfortable. There is also outside seating. Grounds are very well maintained. At first glance the price of a tasting may appear higher than what you might expect but read the fine print. They offer a long list of wines to taste rather than the "pick 5" you often see. There are reductions in tasting price when you buy a bottle or case of wine. Makes a lot of sense because that is why they are there and why you stop in. Gracious host and a stop worth making to relax and enjoy wine. Wine smoothy is tasty as well. We will be back!

We actually stayed overnight in our trailer at the Winery through Harvest Host. We made sure to be there on a Sunday afternoon because they had music outside. Because of the pandemic, they were not doing tastings, but you could try something and then buy a glass to take outside on the lawn. It was very easy to social distance; the music was great and the wine good.
I look forward to visiting there again.

A delight day trip for our first anniversary. Richard was kind enough to accommodate us on a Wednesday when we emailed our request just days before. We sampled a dozen wines and bought eight bottles for ourselves and friends.

This was our first time out during Covid. I have never felt safer. The owners were very careful and attentive to the enhanced precautions. While doing that, they did not sacrifice any hospitality or graciousness. All that coupled with wonderful wines and an amazing view. Thank you for an unforgettable Mother's Day!

We visited Enoree River Winery 9/29/15. It was busy so we were seated outdoors for tasting. Beautiful weather--fine. Then two large dogs stuck their noses under our elbows and on the table. (We are not dog people.) They were followed by a very malnourished cat that jumped on the table and wanted the crackers. We went inside to get some food for the cat. They had nothing we could buy to feed it. I asked for some cat food for that poor cat. The hostess said she was a trained vet tech and had a handle on the situation. In other words, "Shut up about the cat." As we were tasting wines INSIDE, a group of customers wanted to leave but one of their young girls was petrified of the dogs. The hostess took dog treats outside to entice the dogs away from the door. When she returned, she said "I don't know how many treats they think I bring to work with me! I don't care if the dogs eat her!!"

The visit was so unpleasant I don't remember a thing about their wines. The hungry pets and abysmal hostess absolutely ruined the day.

We have visited a lot of wineries over the years, and we can honestly say this is one of the most disappointing wineries we have encountered. It starts with the staff; the woman who finally took care of us after a long wait (and they weren't busy) displayed complete unconcern..."which wine do you want?"...no explanation what they offered. She also was not knowledgeable about wines in general or their wines..."I"ll have to go ask what grapes are in that one"...Every wine we tasted was below average, including one they import from Italy. We left very disappointed.

What day did you arrive? Was it during our Pack the Porch event when we were not offering wine tastings? We do have a few servers who recently began working and it does take time to learn about the grapes in each one we offer. However, I’m more than confident that our staff was not rude. I can honestly say and verify for a fact that all of our staff are genuine, knowledgeable and courteous. I’m very shocked at your review and actually have to wonder if you have us confused with another winery. Surely, some of our wines are sweeter and not everyone likes the sweeter wines. However, we have been in business for over 13 years so we must be pleasing a large number of customers or we would not still be in business. That’s the great thing about wines. They are personable and what you prefer, some others would hate. A lot of wines are prepared with high fructose corn syrup for flavoring and coloring. Perhaps that is what you are used to drinking. Our wines are handcrafted from scratch, prepared with love and care. There are no artificial ingredients in our wines. We take pride in the quality of our wines and always treat our customers with respect. Even though we value your opinion, we respectfully disagree with your rating of our business or that our staff was rude to you.

Let me start with the positives. The winery is in a beautiful, rural setting behind a private home. The facility is fairly new, and there is a wrap around porch that is so inviting, with its panoramic view of the vineyard.

The couple who owns it couldn't be nicer or more accommodating. For $10 you get to sample 8 different wines, some made on-site from the vineyard's harvest of grapes and other fruit. A few selections are not local, which is customary among wineries we have visited in the region.

We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and had a lovely time. Nothing bad to say about the place, the people, the prices, the other customers or anything else. There's just one problem: The wine. Ick! Everything was sickeningly, cloyingly sweet. Not a dry drop of red or white wine to be found among the winery's selections.

Of course, many people reading this may really like sweet wine. That's fine. You should go to the Enoroee River Winery and I'll bet you will be charmed and have a great time. We won't be back, though, since we think wine shouldn't taste like Koolaid.

When I asked one of the owner if he had any dryer wines, he talked about a few selections becoming available later in the spring.

"Well, they'll be dry in a sense...A sort of South Carolina version of dry anyway."

Apparently he thinks we here in SC like our wines like we like our tea...Sweet. I beg to differ. There are many refined pallets here who appreciate a great Cote du Rhone, Merlot, Malbec or Sangiovese.

I hope this place is successful, but if it's not and the owners are looking for a reason why, I'd suggest adding a bit more variety to the offerings.

We appreciate your feedback, and thank you for taking to time to visit our vineyard and winery. Our wines are crafted to suit the tastes of our customers, most of which enjoy sweeter wines. To provide some insight, our wines are not oaked which makes them seem sweeter than they actually are. Regarding some of the wines you'd mentioned enjoying, they are all at 0.0 or negative, which some of our wines at Enoree River Winery are too. The additional oak just makes them seem drier. I hope this helps! Again, we're glad to hear you enjoyed the atmosphere and people of our charming vineyard and winery.

The Enoree River Winery is a perfect location for a day trip from Columbia. My parents, grandmother and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. There were at least ten wines on the tasting list, all of which were delicious! Our hostess was hilarious! She really made the experience enjoyable. We purchased six bottles! Why so many? Because none of us were willing to share! Highly recommend!

My friends and I loved our trip to Enoree Rivers Winery, just off the interstate on our way to the mountains. We were immediately greeted and made to feel that we were most welcomed. The two dogs and the cat met us in the driveway and "showed" us were to park! They were friendly and sweet. What a pleasant introduction to the convivial place that Enoree River Winery is! The site is lovely, and though the building is great, we chose to sit outside and enjoy the view, the weather, and the pets! The wines were unique and, as our server stated: "Not what you expect!" We enjoyed all of them and bought several bottles. I highly recommend this stop if you are local or if you are on a trip. I am so very happy that we stopped! Well done!
