Great for family outings
Apr 2021 • Family
This was the first time I experienced this type of show and I have to say it was awesome and well organized. The food was very good and period appropriate. The staff stayed in character the entire time. The safety arrangements due to covid19 were very good. Only critique will be the queen knight celebration prior to the area should be more celebrated to get the crow involve with the experience of the era.
Totally recommend to enjoy the Medieval Times ...definitely a fan that would be back to a new castle.

Good show, bad food
Apr 2021
Nice show but good is not well prepared. No problem with the no silverware as it is part of the medieval spirit of the show but it should be at least well prepared and maybe some other options for kids that don't like what is offered

Experience Great, Food Okay
Apr 2021
This is the third time in my life I have been to a Medieval Presentation and I have enjoyed every time. This production seemed to be more professional than the others. The show was entertaining, the cast got the entire crowd into performance which was not always easy as we were about 1/2 full (due to CoVid and it was a Thursday night). The food which you eat with your hands was pretty good. The chicken seemed a little to spicy to me so I did not eat much of that, but everything else was good. Almost everyone gets the same meal. My daughter is Vegetarian and they gave here the Vegan meal, which was a little unfortunate because she could have had most of our meal, except the "Vegan" requirement. She thought it was just okay, but we were glad they did have a choice for her. I would not have gone here if food had been the priority. So, don't go expecting a five star meal, but you can go expecting a five star performance.

Disappointed
Apr 2021
The horses were beautiful! However, that’s probably the one positive I took away from this show. I paid for priority access so we sat in the front row. A strong smell of urine wafted at us. The food was mediocre. We could not hear what was being said clearly. I spent too much on this lame experience. Save yourself and head to the Pirates Voyage!

Fun night out in the 11th century
Apr 2021
My husband and I went to Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament in Myrtle Beach for the early show in April 2021. We paid for the Queen's upgrade, which I am not sure I would do again. We did have front row seats which was nice, good unobstructed view. Dinner was very good, with well seasoned and well cooked half chicken, baked potato, corn, soup, roll, and dessert (ice cream). The corn was not good but I admittedly am very picky. Everything else was good. Drinks are overpriced as expected in such venues. The show was very fun to watch. We were in the red and gold section, whose knight won. We did have some difficulty understanding the dialog between the actors at times (the gentleman who is placed to the left of the queen was very difficult to understand). All in all, it is a good show and a fun night out. We would go again and would like to try the shows at one of their other locations across the country.

Thank you for journeying back to the 11th century with us, Lady Karen! It sounds like you truly had a "knight" to remember and received the royal treatment at the castle. We hope to see you back soon for another EPIC night out!

Disappointing
Apr 2021
This show is not worth the money! Food was mediocre. Don’t pay for extras. We did not get photo we paid for and the extra dessert (cake) was right out of freezer. Could not eat! The acoustics in the arena were horrible. Could not understand a word the actors were saying, therefore, did not understand the performance.
The horses, horsemen, pageantry and costumes were excellent but just these things were not worth $73.00

Not worth it
We paid for the Queens package upgrade. We were not “treated like royalty”. Due to covid restrictions they wouldn’t allow our family (just mom, dad, and kids, no extra grandparents or anything!) to take a family picture together and even though we bought tickets as a family they separated us into two groups for the show and to eat. As we have a handicapped child and other small children who still need assistance this was very difficult to handle as two groups and not as one family. The bar drinks were awful and overpriced but that’s to be expected in this sort of venue. It was not a fun experience because of how we were treated, had we been treated as one family instead of two groups it wouldn’t have been as bad. The food was good and our server was also good. I do not recommend visiting with young children or with any children with handicaps or special needs as they will not accommodate or assist with even letting families sit together. The photographs were also horrible for us since we were not allowed to take one family photo.

The Best Time
Wow. I was really surprised that I enjoyed my time at Midevil Times. I had the pleasure of having two 8 yr olds that at first rather wanted to be on a IPad than enjoy this dinner. Well to all of our surprise it was AWESOME!! Staff was great and helpful. Food was awesome. Honestly the best while i was on vacation. The chicken, potato, corn, tomato soup was seasoned GREAT!!! I was shocked the kids ate as much as they did and we all enjoyed not having silverware. Would definitely go again and get the same package as before. Great experience, awesome time, excellent simple food!
