It is very relaxing with a man made lake surrounded by board ward for a portion of the way. Great lighting at night and a speed boat ride for visitors on the lake is quite exciting. - Debra BCharlotte, North Carolina11 contributionsFun For All!My husband and I recently returned from a trip to Myrtle Beach and Broadway At The Beach. We had fun, but the weather was very hot and humid. There's something for everyone, but be prepared to pay. We visited Wonderworks, the Wax Museum and Ripley's Aquarium. We were there on a Tuesday, and with school being over for the year, there were quite a number of children. The Aquarium and the Wax Museum moved along with few lines and good indoor space. Wonderworks, on the other hand, is a very popular attraction for children and teens. Its very hands-on and children love it, so many indoor areas would be full of children waiting to try the different activities. Tired parents were trying to find places to sit as they waited for their children to enjoy the activities. It was organized chaos. My husband and I left after about an hour inside Wonderworks. Our cost for 2 people for this attraction was $62.33 including tax. Our cost for Ripley's Aquarium was $68.78 for 2 people. Senior discounts are available for many attractions at Broadway At The Beach. Have fun!Visited June 2022Written June 17, 2022

Fun place! Went here on a Thursday around lunchtime and it was pretty cool! Reminded us of Downtown Disney, but friendlier, mellower and more affordable. (No upscale designers, etc) We appreciated it being more affordable and geared toward families. This is a fun and friendly place for the whole family. It was really nice and clean when we were there last week. We ate at Paula’s, maybe a 45 minute wait? Easily burned up walking around. The knife shop was awesome and the dude working there was really cool and hooked us up with a cool little knife for our son’s birthday. Will definitely be back with the kids!

Years ago, Broadway at the Beach was a nice well themed, fun, family-oriented shopping, entertainment, and dining experience. Today it is a dirty disjointed, rundown assortment of carnival rides, side shows, games, and crappy tourist trap T-shirt stores. The jet boat rides, and constant helicopter fly overs have totally ruined the Broadway at the Beach experience. Places like Ripley’s Aquarium, Margaritaville and Paula Deen’s are worth checking out but bring ear plugs and be prepared to feel like you are in the middle of some type of invasion. Helicopters and jet boats constantly storm the shores of what could be a tranquil, enjoyable time.

It is a small town with parks and an amazing view of its beaches, its people are quite friendly and kind. The most beautiful thing you can see are the colors of the sky and the sea meeting at sunset, a rainbow that leaves you wondering how beautiful life is. Their food is delicious and the best of all is that you can enjoy it with your friends and family at a low cost. Myrtle beach is a little paradise

I’ve read some of the recent negative reviews, and am happy to say this was not our experience. Sure there are some vacant storefronts, but that is often the case in large venues like this. We visited one afternoon and enjoyed walking around and doing a little shopping. We returned on a Friday night and it was a different, more energetic vibe. We had dinner at one of the restaurants and then did the big 360 Broadway sky wheel. My 21 year old daughter said it would be a fun date night place. We found the place clean, including the restrooms. The carnival type rides looked interesting, and I can see buying the wristbands if you plan to ride a few rides. The sky wheel is about $10, so a $40 unlimited ride pass doesn’t seem too bad if you’re going to be there for period of time. (And cheaper than you’d spend in some stores, probably!)

Alot of variety and conveniently located. Shops are all on the pricey side and cater to tourists spending money on rain days or during heat of day. Worth the stop to look around and grab a bite to eat but nothing special on the shopping.

The BEST thing about Broadway at the Beach in the summer is joining the dance party with Mr. Nigel (from Mr. Nigel & Friends)!! He is there every weekday evening and is usually located in the square between Build a Bear and It'Sugar. He is energetic, funny, and really gets the crowd engaged and having fun. We go to Myrtle Beach for a week every summer and we go to Broadway multiple evenings to be part of the free family friendly party Mr. Nigel provides from 8:00-10:00pm. Look for his party bus parked near the big slide entrance to Broadway at the Beach. We look forward to seeing Mr. Nigel again next summer!

Great place to visit in Myrtle Beach! Lots of shops, restaurants and fun activities. Can get pretty expensive if you try to do a lot and there’s minimal places in the shade so during the day it gets pretty hot. Some of the places were shut down and out of business but not a terrible eye sore.

This place is very large with many outlets but the problem was many were not open. Not sure if it was due to COVID or thanksgiving week but nonetheless we had a nice time exploring. One thing you have to do here is feed the fish! They sell fish food on the bridges for $5 a cupful which is pretty expensive but you can buy generic cornflakes at Walmart for $1.50 for a huge box which they eat just as fast. There must be thousands of fish in that little area and they all are huge and just chomping at the bit for a little snack. You won’t be disappointed seeing them and the ducks go after the food. As far as the store prices they are average for tourist destinations. We bought my son 3 branded Nike t-shirts and a nice branded hat for a total of $110. It was pricey but I couldn’t find those customized shirts anywhere near us.

We came here on the first night of our vacation. We got here around 5:30 on a Sunday. We had no issues parking, but the place was extremely crowded. We were trying to find somewhere to eat for dinner. Many places had 2 - 3 hour waits and some just not taking anymore parties at all. So disappointing on vacation. We ended up eating at Roosters. They were able to get us in after an hour wait. Not what we wanted. ...but the only ones that could take us. The food was good though.
Some reviews say this place has a Disney Springs vibe....I didn't get that at all. Just busy with restaurants and stores that weren't of interest. We'll probably never return...the place isn't even on the beach.
We enjoyed Downtown Myrtle Beach Boardwalk so much better. Live entertainment there overlooking the beach each night. We also made sure to book dinner reservations for the remainder of the week. None which were at Broadway at the Beach.

This shopping restaurant district is full of great little shops, restaurants and activities for the kids. We had limited time so we only shopped and we barely investigated the array of cute shops. It is surrounded by water and there was a myriad of things to do with children including the Wonderworks and a dinosaur museum. Many more activities are offered in the season. Top Golf was near by if you need to split interests. Definitely put this on your list of places to stop.

We are going to Myrtle beach early April and staying at the hotel in Broadway at the Beach. The construction I have seen pictures of make me wonder if I need to reconsider. We stayed there about 2 years ago and we loved it. But it looks pretty sad now. If anyone has been there lately and has an update I would really appreciate it. Is the construction as bad as it looks in the photos on line?
Thanks to anyone who has some info for me.

We were there in February there was definitely construction down at one corner, but most was fine. I really liked it there.

The transition to the holiday shows occurred during my stay, so we missed them. However, I have friends who live in Myrtle Beach who have raved about all of them. I know the off season Pirate Show has been on my son's vacation plans every time he has been there and says it gets better every time he's been there.

Hi, planning to be there tomorrow for fireworks, what's the best place to view them? Which shop/area to hang out by for the fireworks? Also, is it difficult to get parking here at this time of the year, just thinking how early to get there. Thank you.

Close to the bridge entrances is the best. They close the bridges during the show because the fireworks are shot over the water.
