About
Coastal Grand Mall is one of the largest malls in the state and the only indoor climate-controlled shopping center in Myrtle Beach. Coastal Grand is a premier place to shop, take in a movie, or grab a bite to eat. It is home to over 120 retailers, with favorite national retailers like Old Navy, H&M, American Eagle, Bath & Body Works, Victoria's Secret, Palmetto Moon, Pandora, BoxLunch & more. Shoppers can also enjoy shopping at any of our premier anchors such as Belk, Dillard's, JCPenney, Dick's Sporting Goods, and Golf Galaxy, as well as unique local retailers. Coastal Grand Mall is home to some fun-filled attractions like the newly opened Stars & Strikes Entertainment Center and the area's lux movie outlet, Cinemark Theaters. Coastal Grand Mall is centrally located in the coastal city of Myrtle Beach and less than 2 miles from the beach off Hwy 17.

Extremely disappointed in the dark, dingy decor, the number of empty storefronts and even the poor selection of merchandise in the anchor stores. That may be because we’re just coming out of a pandemic as well as all the outlets in Myrtle Beach. But, believe me, don’t waste your time here unless it’s a rainy day and you have nothing better to do. I can’t remember the last time me and my wife went to a mall, spent almost 2 hours browsing in a fair number of stores and walked out of the mall empty handed.

Like most malls in America, they are just sad inside. Dreary outdated decor, too many sneaker and hip hop attire stores, sad, dark food courts. Why don’t the owners remove the roof and make this an outdoor shopping area with unique stores. There are beautiful outdoor shopping malls throughout the US that could inspire.

We usually stay at the nearby Hilton Garden Inn for a night or two, before beginning our multi-week resort visits.
The mall is well-maintained, with a large variety of shopping and dining options from which to choose; as well as a decent cinema.
Though one would probably not consider this mall unique enough to be a destination in of itself; it certainly provides a satisfying resource for those with a shopping craving, while visiting the area.

My wife and I enjoy walking from Belks to Dillards each week to get our daily steps and exercise. Its fun to see the people inside but even more exciting to see whats going on in the many stores. Additionally ob Tuesdays, its fun to go to the theater and get the Senior discount.

Mall is fine but whatever you do avoid Fast Fix jewelry repair like you would the plague. Over priced , doesn't stand behind their work, it is not "fast". A total rip off

In a time when malls are disappearing it was nice to find one that is healthy and offers the choice and convenience I desire. Ate in the food court and had plenty of variety for my family. I also had a comfortable place to wait while the family shopped. Enjoyable.

The younger kids loved the bungie jump and that turned this shopping trip into a fun activity for them. the older kids enjoyed Starbucks and several stores trendy for teens. Disappointed in the food court. We specifically went to the mall at lunch thinking there would be a good variety of food to choose from since we had so many people in our group but we were disappointed with the few choices we had. other than that, it was a great experience!

I have read a couple of conflicting reviews on this mall, so I will add my two cents.
First I have seen the mall described as both 'large' and 'small'. My opinion this is a large mall. To compare I have been to at least three othr other 'large' malls....Mall of Georgia, which is 'Georgia's Largest Mall', to "Opry Mills' in Nashville and to Hamilton Place 'Tennessee's Largest Mall'. Both of the state large malls are two stories high. Coastal Grand is one story high, yet is it amazingly spread out, enough so that I would guesstimate that it's one story is equivalent to 1 1/2 stories of either of the 'largest' malls I've visited.
Another review listed it as 'tacky'. I did not see anything tacky about this mall. If you visit this mall, at worst you can expect it to be typical. There is a Belk, Dillards, JC Penney, Sears, Bed Bath and Beyond, food court, gameroom, movie theater...pretty much what you can expect from your hometown mall. Some people go on vacation and enjoy spending some of their time shopping at these types of stores during the trip, others are disappointed if everything they do isn't tourist related. If you fall into the latter group, then you will not enjoy this mall and I would recommend you visit Broadway on the Beach instead.
Overall the mall is clean, has a variety of shops and is great if you want to catch a movie or get away when a rainy day limits your outdoor activities.

Are there any sitting areas where a guy can plug in a laptop while his wife does her thing?
Written February 15, 2017
There are sitting areas scattered throughout the mall. I am pretty sure I seen charging ports as well.

Is this mall looking into getting a couple of more stores like Macy's and Nordstrom? Pretty mall but way to many average stores. With all the tourist and great surrounding support from other counties don't u think its time to get more high end stores?
