If you only see one show... this is the one! "Top Attraction in Myrtle Beach" according to CNBC! The Carolina Opry has won every major South Carolina tourism award including Most Outstanding Attraction and the prestigious Governor's Cup. And it's the only show that has been featured on NBC Nightly News, CNN, TNN, and USA Today, which called it "A Big Hit". The New York Post called it "A Hot Ticket".Entertainer and entrepreneur Calvin Gilmore launched The Carolina Opry on South Carolina's Grand Strand in 1986. His live music variety show features a cast of 36 of the nation's top singers, dancers, comedians and musicians in its own 2200-seat show palace with state-of-the-art sound and lighting and three giant video screens. The show, which is continually updated with new music and comedy, is two hours of high energy entertainment that blends humor and dancing with everything from rock 'n roll, Broadway and country to classic hits, pop melodies and gospel.Young and old are counted among its fans who are sure to include a performance in their visit to Myrtle Beach. In November and December the theater is transformed into a winter wonderland where the magic of the season comes alive in The Carolina Opry Christmas Special a wonderfully dazzling, jolly and sentimental musical celebration of America's best-loved holiday..

Carolina Opry has the quality music and showbiz that you would see on Broadway, with high energy edgy musical song and dance. We have returned to the Carolina Opry each year for the last several years and the shows are continually updated and impress. Christie...More

The Carolina Opry was an action-packed two hour performance that included singing, dancing, comedy, instrumentals, and the "All That" cloggers. I loved how every performance blended parts of the many talents featured at this venue. It wasn't just one performer on stage, there were several...More

went to the TCO tonight after seeing "good vibrations" a few days ago. We were not disappointed. First rate show with a variety of music for almost 2 1/2 hours. The performers were none stop, with intermittent comedy skits throughout the show. This was my...More

The talent is fantastic!! Worth every penny! Went to "Good Vibrations" and we sang along to every song. The comedian had us laughing so hard it hurt! And I can never get enough of "All That!" Wow!!! Highly recommend this show to all generations!

This revue is on a par with Vegas of NYC and is no longer a cheap coverall-dressed hillbilly joke, except for one small interlude that was out of character but to be expected of a small town in the deep south. Diversity was not evidence...More

If we had seen The Carolina Opry first, maybe we would have given it a better review, but we were spoiled by the outstanding show at the Alabama Theatre the night before. The Carolina Opry is a beautiful building and the entertainers were excellent. However,...More

I have first row seats to the Wynonna Judd show in March. Seats 20 and 21. I haven't been here before. Could anyone tell me how the view is from this viewpoint? Silly question probably but I'm just so excited to see this show. Also have seats to the Irish Tenors, row 1 seats 1 and 2 in January. Tell me they were worth the money ?!!??? Many thanks for any input - from the State of Maine. - Linda

Both sets of seats are on opposite ends of row 1. So you will have a side ways view of the stage. I have never preferred front row unless it is a concert where you can stand, sing and gyrate. Not so in this theater. Seats... More
