A friend and I ended our vacation with a stop here. It had been a few years since we have visited Family Kingdom, and we were looking forward to getting back. I was not sure how the covid-19 regulations would affect things. It did create some very long lines, and with reduced hours of operations, wristbands may not be the way to go.

The rides were running fairly well. Several rides have been removed and replaced with nothing since our last visit. A little disappointing. The remaining rides were good, but the lines were very long.

Food places are a premium here. And finding a place to sit to eat your food is incredibly difficult. I know that social distancing is necessary. That reduced the numbers of tables in the park. Sadly, many patrons remained seated long time after they were finished eating, so other patrons had to stand to eat, find a park bench to sit on, or sit on the midway to eat. I hope a better solution can be found.

Employees were okay. Not overly friendly, but they could smile a little more. There were a couple exceptions.

we have to go because we have kids, still pricey and very very crowded. if it looks overcast don't go, because the first sound of thunder they shut the park down with no refunds. a large lemonade cost us $14.00. They do offer military discount which was a plus

My family and I have been visiting Family Kingdom once a year for our family vacations. However, it has seemed to gone down hill in the past few years.
Expect to pay big time money. It costs $9 to park and then you are spending big time money to even ride the rides.
It seems as if the rides have gone down hill as well. On our recent trip we decided to ride the Swamp Fox coaster. We have ridden it many times and didn’t have any problems. However, on our last trip we experienced extremely bad roughness to the point in which I thought I was going to lose consciousness. After the ride was over I experienced extremely bad whiplash. I had a very bad headache and neck pain. Do not ride it unless you want a injury.

My kids are older now, mid teens and a young adult, but they still like to enjoy themselves! We traveled with another family the summer of 2019 with the same age range as my girls. This is the 3rd time we visited this park, the girls were elementary/middle school age the last time we was there. They get on every ride and snack on just about everything they can. It's a fun little outing for all ages.

This amusement park one time was a gem but now it is very dilapidated. Not all the rides were working/ not enough staff was present? Don't buy the all day band before asking if all the rides are working! The place itself is run down. The rides are older than most amusement parks today, however they are quite a bit of rides for littler kids. My four year old was able to ride about 5-6 rides in the park. If you really want to ride the ferris wheel try the bigger one down the street- it would be more worthwhile to ride the large iconic Myrtle Beach ferris wheel rather than pay for tickets to ride some of these sad rides, unless you want to go for a bit of nostalgia.

This is just an overpriced carnival. It is way too expensive for the small size of the park and how few rides they have. We asked for a military discount and the employee said they didn’t have that. After we purchased wristbands and walked away we saw a sign that said they have military and local discounts so we asked the manager Shannon. She said once we purchased the wristbands there was nothing she could do. Complete BS.

There r not that many rides here. I do like the point system. U buy a card w points and scan it for each ride u go on so we only had 2 pay for the rides we wanted rather than the full price for each person. It was a fun way 2 spend an hour or 2.

Don’t waste your money on bracelets right now. We paid 64.00 to ride 4 rides. It’s usually a fun place but this year was horrible. You have to stand in line for an hour for each ride and there wasn’t even many people there. Total waste of money. Save your money.

We liked that there was no cost to enter the park. You could walk around and enjoy the atmosphere for free. My family likes rides and roller coasters and have visited several amusement parks. This hardly seems like an amusement park. It is more like a carnival or fair, because most of the rides look like the type that can be folded up and moved on a semi to the next town. The roller coaster with ocean views was fun though. We also found that the ferris wheel here was a less expensive option to the other ones, but still provided great views. They do offer wristbands and a variety of prepaid credit/ticket options if you only wanted to ride one or two things. They have a few food trucks with carnival food. We enjoyed an elephant ear.

My young grandchildren (5-10) have loved going to Family Kingdom, whenever visiting from Long Island, NY. Since my wife and I are moving to the Charleston area later this year, they wanted to go one last time. They loved every minute of their visit, and took advantage of the locals discount that I got for them. Unfortunately a few of the rides that they were on did not operate as well as in the past, due to needed maintenance,
