Really wish the Southern Tide would have had the selection of the full service 2nd Ave Pier Restaurant because we would've spent more time there, especially since its at the hotel where we stayed the Double tree Hilton. There was a gift shop there, but...More

Not much pier left.......the foodstand was almost empty. Looks really unsafe. Hopefully they will rebuild or cleanup.

Lovely pier where you can watch fishermen/women in action. There are some interesting things caught off this pier.

Everyone misses it. To be rebuilt was the last word that people were told by the Hilton Group. The Springmaid Resort was purchased by them & we need this pier, as it has always been a landmark at the South End of Myrtle Beach. Karen...More

This photo is misleading; over half of the pier in this photo was destroyed by a storm and has not been rebuilt. At mid-tide, the pier does not extend past the surf line so fishing from the pier would not be possible.

Ever since the new owners acquired Springmaid Beach Resort the place is a total disappointment. After the last storm most of the pier was destroyed and it is a sad reminder of what a great place it was in he past.
