Steve, Ashley, Alex, Tyler, and the entire staff at Myrtle Beach Watersports are professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and just great to work with. We are a family of ten that booked a Two Hour Dolphin Tour. On the day of our original booking, thunderstorms were expected, and we really weren't sure if we would have our tour. Steve, Ashley, and Alex were great. We were only able to ride for about an hour and were able to go back just two days later for NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE. Steve said that he didn't want us to experience the tour with limited time and no dolphins. We went back two days later and the tour exceeded our expectations. And Steve made sure to give me the fastest Waverunner, so that my wife and I could easily ride faster than our kids and significant others. We had a great time. And Tyler made sure that we saw dolphins. And not just a few dolphins, but literally a pod of over a hundred dolphins swam around our five waverunners. We would definitely recommend using North Myrtle Beach Watersports. And would definitely use them again when in North Myrtle. The tour was the highlight or our week long vacation in North Myrtle Beach! Thank you Steve, Ashley, Alex, Tyler, and the staff.

We booked the 2 hour dolphin jet ski tour but didn't see any dolphins. Beware that on the website it says you are guaranteed to see dolphins or you get to do it again for free. It turns out they don't mean that you get to ride jet skis again, but rather, you can go on one of their boats along with 75 or 100 other people. They didn't even offer that until I brought it up. The girl at the counter said they don't offer that anymore, but I know about "truth in advertising" which means if they offer it in print, they have to honor it, which they did, but reluctantly. The offer is still on their website so either she is misinformed, or their website isn't up to date. Either way, you're entitled to the makeup session. If my kids had really wanted another jet ski experience, I would have pushed for it, since the website was unclear, but one of my kids hated the whole thing (very fearful teen) so we opted for the boat. The rest of us loved the jet ski experience, even without seeing dolphins. It was unseasonably cold (mid-June) so we were quite cold ourselves, but it was still fun and I would do it again.

I took my 83 year old mother on the parasail ride, i give extra credit to the staff as they helped her on the banana boat for the ride to the jet boat quite a journey to get her on the bandana boat haah then onto the jet boat staff was very friendly and helpful the view from up in the air on the parasail was great and even quiet. the only negative is they dont allow phones or cameras they take your pictures then try to sell you a single picture for A$25 way to expensive and a package for $50 a rip off. but the value for parasailing was worth it

I understand that there is no guarantee that you will be able to see dolphins on this tour but based on lots of reviews it all seems like a scam and more people then none dont see any dolphins. It's should renamed 2 hour marina tour. The entire time my boyfriend and I were on our trip the ocean was high tide and there were rip tides due to a tropical storm. Beaches were not even open for swimming because of extreme waves. What does our tour guide do? He takes us into the middle of the ocean with waves I kid you not 8-10 feet high. He was also going so fast if we would have fallen off he wouldn't have known. Super dangerous and no common sense when making the decision to go through those waves. There is no doubt in my mind had we flipped the waves would've taken us and our jet ski. Super scary moment in our lives! Never again. These tour guides may think that is normal to go through waves like that but most people don't do this everyday for a job.

At first I thought it would be great, then I realized I had made an awful mistake, took my husband for his birthday ,I wanted to see the dolphins even tho I was scared to death I went along with it.At first it seemed like it would be ok we was coasting along. They explained to us from the start this was not a race it was a tour. Once we was out of the wake zone the guide left us practically, we was pretty much chasing after him lost him a few times from eye sight. He acted as if we was pros he was jumping waves and going so fast that the whole ride gave me such anxiety I would NEVER want to do it again. Even if there was a dolphin we wouldn't have seen them because we was moving so fast and the waves was slaming us around and in our face and eyes and salt water doesn't feel good either, we spent to whole time holding on for our lives, even tho the guide said it was a good day to go out.Once we docked I asked I thought this was a dolphin tour he said dolphins are wild life grabbed his jacket and left, not sure if we was the last ride for the day and he was jus ready to go, but all the money we spent for a dolphin tour seemed like a bunch of croc...not to mention the next day I could barely move from how rough the ride was and all the muscles I never knew I had was sore from holding on for dear life. This tour is not for the average jo nor should it be called a dolphin tour. The picture is a smile for making it back to land safe, not from a good time.

Pros: Fast service, organized, clean, jet skis worked well, extra options you can buy like plastic phone case/sunglasses cord...etc., beautiful ride with view of waterfront homes, did see two dolphins, received some history about the area.

Cons: Over $400 for 2 people for 2 hours is a little steep based off of what we experienced. We would say 60% of the time what the slow drive to and from the location. We stopped at an island and just walked around looking at jellyfish for around 20 min. We got about 10 min of free time and then it was heading back. We thought we were going further out into the ocean rather than sticking to the man-made waterway. The communication from our guide was lacking. He checked on us often but didn't explain where we were going, what we were doing, when we were headed back. We were all just kind of guessing what was going on. We've been jet skiing a few times before and this just wasn't the experienced we expected. Given the price.

We took a pontoon out for an afternoon from Myrtle Beach Watersports and it was something not to be missed. Steve, the owner, was wonderful and Captain Pat was great fun and a skilled pilot. We had the water slide boat so the kids, 10 & 13, had a blast sliding into the water and several of the adults slid in as well. Captain Pat entertained us all while being very safety conscious and was prepared with a bottle of vinegar when jellyfish started stinging the swimmers to soothe their stings.
We went to Bird Island and on our way got a tour of places along the shore.
Do this! You won’t regret it.

We took the jet ski dolphin watching tour, which was about 2 hours. We rented 2 skis and rode double with our teens driving. Our tour group consisted of 2 families (4 skis) plus our guide. We were given individual instruction on how to operate the skis and followed our guide through the boating channel, out to the ocean for dolphin watching and free time before heading back. Our guide stopped periodically to let everyone catch up and make sure everyone was okay. We did see a pod of dolphins following a fishing boat. We stopped to watch them, swimming very close to us. The jet skis were in great shape as they said they purchase new skis every year. We did find a $20 off coupon online so we saved $40 on our tour. Seemed to be a well run operation.

I understand that it’s not guaranteed you will see dolphins every time, that’s not why my review is low. We did not see dolphins which is fine, of course you can’t control nature, but our guides did not talk or interact with anyone on the tour once. We just got out to the open ocean and they said ok drive around and we’ll tell you when to come back… they didn’t bother to explain that “hey this is normally where we would see dolphins but for this reason maybe they aren’t there”. Dolphins were not mentioned once and those were the only words that came out of our tour guides mouth the entire two hour tour. Many people thought maybe we were just driving around and next we would go to another spot to see the dolphins, there was little to 0 communication. Again, the issue was not seeing dolphins, and the jet skis were fun but the guide was horrible and I wouldn’t recommend this tour based solely on that. If you have never driven a jet ski before either I would likely not recommend, once you get to the ocean the waves are big and with the guide saying absolutely nothing to you, you would have no instruction or help.

My nine-year-old daughter had a suggestion to go jet skiing when we were recently at Myrtle Beach. She saw them on the ICW, and asked if she could do it. I reached out to Myrtle Beach Watersports and they set me up with a 1hr package where she could ride in front of me on the jet ski. She was actually allowed to drive the jet ski under my close supervision and let me tell you, she has not stopped talking about it yet. It was one of the best activities we did during the long weekend. We had miles and miles of the ICW to explore, with a guide nearby just in case we needed anything or had any questions. I can’t speak for any of the other places, but in the experience we had, it was great customer service, and a great day!
