- Lindsey G5 contributionsIndoor FUN!I took my daughter and her best friend on Veterans day. We needed something to do while it was cold and rainy outside. My daughter's 17th birthday was Sunday and at first the teens thought they wouldn't have much fun. We had read it would take 3-4 hours going through the museum. My daughter and her friend thought there was NO way it would hold their interest that long. They were wrong! We were in the museum for 4 1/2 hours! We all had an absolute blast!!Visited November 2023Traveled with familyWritten November 13, 2023
- Ecaterina S3 contributionsWonder PlaceWhat a great and fun place to spend time with friends and family. We were there for three full hours and we enjoyed every second of it. I highly recommend visiting WonderWorks Myrtle Beach because it will leave you with a wonderful life lasting experience.Visited December 2023Traveled with familyWritten December 14, 2023
- Sharon D4 contributionsSpring Break funLots of fun inside for a chilly day. Paid for VIP but there's an indoor ropes course included so probably wouldn't have needed to do both. Zip line was fun. Son enjoyed the Lazer tag. Liked that we could leave and re-enter.Visited March 2024Traveled with familyWritten March 26, 2024
- LynneTooOcala, Florida64 contributionsWonder Works on a Rainy Day at the BeachThis was a perfect activity for a rainy day at the beach. Tickets were purchased online where a $2 discount was found. It's expensive! Admittedly, the line was long to get in since everyone had the same idea for entertainment on a rainy day. Our four adults and three kids, ages 5, 7, & 10, learned a few things and had fun.Visited March 2024Traveled with familyWritten April 1, 2024
- Lori G4 contributions0ver-priced AttractionMy family returned to WonderWorks over our spring break. We had visited once before, two years ago. We remembered having a nice time, and the kids enjoyed it, so we chose to go back on a rainy day. It was very busy, since it was cool and rainy outside. The kids still enjoyed it, but we had to wait in more lines and it wasn't as easy to move around and explore all of the exhibits. It is very pricey though. Unless we had a really substantial discount, we probably will not go back.Visited April 2024Traveled with familyWritten April 6, 2024
- Explore145216 contributionsGreat indoor fun optionSo much fun. Appeals to all ages. Highly recommend and plan to go again next time in town. We went because of the in door ropes course but enjoyed the laser tag, simulated ride and hands on exhibits too. There is an arcade on the floor with the rope course and games cost additional money but this gave those of us not interested in the ropes course something to do while we waited so it was great!Visited May 2024Traveled with familyWritten May 19, 2024
- BlackmoreFamilyDry Ridge, Kentucky174 contributionsGet VIP inside and outside! We have went to the one in Gatlinburg and enjoy, but enjoyed this one much better. We stayed for awhile and the kids loved it! Well worth the money for 2 young boy (8 and 11) at the time of visit. Also we upgraded the package to include the zip line outside and that was awesome.Visited May 2024Traveled with familyWritten June 1, 2024

I am a multi-generational local and often take my now eight year old granddaughter for special days to enjoy the multitude of wonderful attractions we have available in the Grand Strand area. Recently we visited Wonderworks in Myrtle Beach-not our first time. This was her choice for the day. We knew it would be busy for the day, but we happily enjoyed the long wait with anticipation of a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, we were so very disappointed. We felt within minutes of entering the building that we were going to be battling fatigue and warmth throughout the experience. The inside temperature was well into the 80’s and possibly 90’s. People were sweating profusely, fanning themselves, complaining, and obviously having to leave the premises prematurely because of their discomfort. It was hard for me to see this, knowing that many of these people were tourists who had chosen to bring their families and sometimes spend upwards of hundreds of dollars to enjoy this day on their beach trip. In addition to the heat, there were MANY games/activities that were not working or partially broken. Why weren’t these issues taken care of in the off season? Such a disappointment. 😔

My husband and I visited Wonder Works in Myrtle Beach in early April 2021. We arrived around dinner time and had pizza and drinks at the museum. It was well priced, ordinary pizza which was OK for fuel but certainly nothing special. We proceeded to the museum and started experiencing all the different areas. First and foremost, the entire place is EXTREMELY loud due to very loud music and screaming children. I mean, so loud you feel like you need to wear ear protection to prevent hearing loss! Also, there were many exhibits that are broken and not working, that were not labelled as such, so you sit/stand there trying to see what is supposed to happen when...nothing happens because because it is broken. We felt the admission price was too high for what the experience is. We would never go back and would recommend others to skip the museum as well. This kind of museum, given better management, can be so fun but as things are presently, it is a definite NO GO.

This was our second trip to Wonderworks, and probably our last. It seems like everything in MB has taken a beating since Covid.
This time several exhibits weren't working or weren't working correctly, it cost extra to do the arcade games (after paying a fee to get in) and it just seemed run down and beat up.
We went first thing in the morning and most of the activities weren't staffed so we didn't do them.
This is also one of the loudest places I've ever been. I should have brought ear plugs.

My husband and I last visited Wonderworks approximately five years ago and really enjoyed the experience. At the time, children were in school, so we were able to see all Wonderworks had to offer. It is really geared towards children and teens, but as a middle-aged couple (ages 58 and 61), we still enjoyed it. This time around, a few days ago, the attraction was quite crowded and noisy. There are many things to do that require getting on a line, so lines were here and there and children were running about excitedly as parents looked around for a place to sit (usually at an exhibit that had a seat meaning that no one could play at that exhibit).
The museum is truly hands-on, so if you are unable to get near an exhibit/attraction, it becomes a waste of time and money. We only stayed about an hour. We spent $62.33 for the two of us. Of note - Senior discounts are available at many of the attractions at Broadway At The Beach. For Wonderworks, my husband was eligible, I was not.
Wonderworks is a FUN place, but only if you are able to see/play/participate in the activities.

What else can you say i mean its a wonderworks fun for the entire family. My eight year old says it was the best place on earth. The staff was friendly and helpful it was a bit of a line to get inside but it was well worth the wait. PS always wear closed toed shoes because most of the rides inside require them.

Taking it all the way back to June, my wife and I who just got married, decided to take our extended family members who flew in for the wedding to WonderWorks. Despite the fact of living in Myrtle year round, and passing by the “upside-down” house daily, this was my first time checking the place out. I was throughly surprised by the overwhelming amount of welcome and hospitality shown by the managers and employees throughout the entire experience. Loaded with rides, adventurous ropes courses, games, facts, and rides, excitement lies behind every turn in the building. I highly recommend experiencing the thrill of WonderWorks, and if you’re feeling courageous, have Andrew spin you through the “Astronaut Training Challenge.” You won’t regret it.

Spent a few hours here and had an amazing time with my girls. There really was something for everyone. There’s a great ropes course, a 4D theatre, laser tag with a really animated guide, and a flight simulator. I would recommend for family trips with children ages 4-18.

We were deciding on the one main attraction to get tickets to for our family vacation and we LOVED Wonder Works!
We read reviews for several offerings in MB and picked this on. Price was not bad, even had coupon from flyer that helped too. The staff and facility work very hard to keep this attraction fun and safe even during the Year of COVID-19. So many fun exhibits and ALL included with ticket price, whether basketball hoops, baseball throw, speed reaction games, 360 Bikes, Laser Tag, bed of nails and more! We spent over 3 hours in there, and could have spent more! Our kids were 9, 8, and 6. My wife and I were impressed at the quality of the laser tag game (Lasertron equipment). Its 5 min game play, but you could get back in line since its free/included in ticket. Also I think we might have set a record for the 360 bike with the most consecutive loop de loops! :D

I nearly gave it three stars because my kids enjoyed it, but it was pretty bad. Way overpriced, and I don’t mind spending big on vacation. Much of the content could be read in a book. They should have had at least twice as many of each ride/attraction because they took forever…like literally 5 minutes per family/group, so if there were 6 groups in line it would take 30 minutes to get to you. They also call it “all inclusive” and then have a ton of pay-to-play games. Overall it felt like a lot of waiting around for a mildly amusing time. The kids enjoyed it, but if they knew what else we could have done for the money they would have chosen something else.

WonderWorks was a perfect way to spend a rainy day in Myrtle Beach! Our kids had a blast with the ropes course and laser tag attractions, and there were enough other exhibits to keep us occupied for 3-4 hours. We arrived a few minutes prior to opening, and were able to get in & experience everything with no lines. By the time we left, the ticket line extended all the way outside and wrapped around the building and into the parking lot - so definitely get there early if WonderWorks is on your agenda!! We felt like we had the place all to ourselves, being there so early in the day, but as we were leaving, even the individual attractions had long lines to participate. I would not have felt like the experience justified the ticket price if I’d had to deal with crowds like that!

Some of the things in the all access pass we will not be doing, is there a ticket package where I can choose which activities?

FREE parking! There’s plenty of parking here, though the earlier you go, the better your spot :)

Just wanted to add that the entrees between the adult (13+) and child portions looked similar, but that was a while ago and it could be different now!
Written June 19, 2018
We didn’t order child portions, however, my daughters shared chicken tenders \fries adult portion. They had 4 tenders. I believe the menu had something saying that only children could order off the child menu. I think you are still right about portions. We saw other children eating nice portions of food.

I would visit their website for full details. I tried to post link here and trip advisor would not permit.
too much to list ! It was better than I thought. Took half the day and we didn't even do everything. Interactive fun for all ages. We also did the outdoor zipline and ropes course. Would go again. If you are staying at a property nearby, they may offer discount .

I was thinking about going today with my children. I have a 16 year old and 4 year old. Is it something boy of them would enjoy or should I leave the 4 year old at the resort with dad and just take the 16 year old? I never come down in the winter and I'm not sure what to do for activities.
Written December 29, 2017
Such age difference, my opinion is that both parents go, one with each child so they can enjoy their own unique experiences. Then meet at the end

Can my 3 year old toddler go in and have fun as much as the other kids too?
Written May 9, 2017
I should also say that other travelers are correct also. it is geared towards older kids but in my opinion, it's a family place and fun for all ages. we were not in line long at all but I have seen the lines be quite long and the youngsters don't quite like that. but take my advice and go ahead and go, take your 3 year old, and if there are others in your group just take turns on who will do things with 3 year old and before you know it, you'll be able to do it all. you're not gonna be rushed out the door so do as you feel comfortable
