My husband and I last visited Wonderworks approximately five years ago and really enjoyed the experience. At the time, children were in school, so we were able to see all Wonderworks had to offer. It is really geared towards children and teens, but as a middle-aged couple (ages 58 and 61), we still enjoyed it. This time around, a few days ago, the attraction was quite crowded and noisy. There are many things to do that require getting on a line, so lines were here and there and children were running about excitedly as parents looked around for a place to sit (usually at an exhibit that had a seat meaning that no one could play at that exhibit).
The museum is truly hands-on, so if you are unable to get near an exhibit/attraction, it becomes a waste of time and money. We only stayed about an hour. We spent $62.33 for the two of us. Of note - Senior discounts are available at many of the attractions at Broadway At The Beach. For Wonderworks, my husband was eligible, I was not.
Wonderworks is a FUN place, but only if you are able to see/play/participate in the activities.

A great way to spend a cold afternoon. The kids loved the centrifuge, the VR roller coaster, and the laser tag, It was the first time laser tag adventure for us adults, too, and it was really a lot of fun. We were disappointed that the rope course was closed due to COVID-19, but it was the only thing closed.
Tickets were $30 per person which was a little high, but not totally unreasonable considering how much there was to do. We also liked that it included in and out privileges for the whole day. Being home school parents it was also really nice to find a lot of science and history being taught in such a fun way, as well. Not just entertaining, but educational, too!

What else can you say i mean its a wonderworks fun for the entire family. My eight year old says it was the best place on earth. The staff was friendly and helpful it was a bit of a line to get inside but it was well worth the wait. PS always wear closed toed shoes because most of the rides inside require them.

I am a multi-generational local and often take my now eight year old granddaughter for special days to enjoy the multitude of wonderful attractions we have available in the Grand Strand area. Recently we visited Wonderworks in Myrtle Beach-not our first time. This was her choice for the day. We knew it would be busy for the day, but we happily enjoyed the long wait with anticipation of a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, we were so very disappointed. We felt within minutes of entering the building that we were going to be battling fatigue and warmth throughout the experience. The inside temperature was well into the 80’s and possibly 90’s. People were sweating profusely, fanning themselves, complaining, and obviously having to leave the premises prematurely because of their discomfort. It was hard for me to see this, knowing that many of these people were tourists who had chosen to bring their families and sometimes spend upwards of hundreds of dollars to enjoy this day on their beach trip. In addition to the heat, there were MANY games/activities that were not working or partially broken. Why weren’t these issues taken care of in the off season? Such a disappointment. 😔

This was our second trip to Wonderworks, and probably our last. It seems like everything in MB has taken a beating since Covid.
This time several exhibits weren't working or weren't working correctly, it cost extra to do the arcade games (after paying a fee to get in) and it just seemed run down and beat up.
We went first thing in the morning and most of the activities weren't staffed so we didn't do them.
This is also one of the loudest places I've ever been. I should have brought ear plugs.

My husband and I visited Wonder Works in Myrtle Beach in early April 2021. We arrived around dinner time and had pizza and drinks at the museum. It was well priced, ordinary pizza which was OK for fuel but certainly nothing special. We proceeded to the museum and started experiencing all the different areas. First and foremost, the entire place is EXTREMELY loud due to very loud music and screaming children. I mean, so loud you feel like you need to wear ear protection to prevent hearing loss! Also, there were many exhibits that are broken and not working, that were not labelled as such, so you sit/stand there trying to see what is supposed to happen when...nothing happens because because it is broken. We felt the admission price was too high for what the experience is. We would never go back and would recommend others to skip the museum as well. This kind of museum, given better management, can be so fun but as things are presently, it is a definite NO GO.

We paid for things here that we could not do b/c no where did it inform us we must have closed toe shoes to participate. Also as soon as you enter you are constantly waiting in additional lines to do more attractions. We didn't expect that at all. We just wanted to see the museum. It was very crowded and loud. It was neat but not for the price.

Our family loves Wonderworks! We first visited the Wonderworks in Pigeon Forge. We like the way it is set up a little better, but this one has most of the same activities except for the rope wall climb and maybe a couple others. During COVID restrictions the indoor roof ropes course is closed and the outdoor ropes and zipline is only open Fri-Sun. It's more fun for kids about 7-13 age range. Younger kids a lot of it goes over their head and older kids some of it gets boring.

I nearly gave it three stars because my kids enjoyed it, but it was pretty bad. Way overpriced, and I don’t mind spending big on vacation. Much of the content could be read in a book. They should have had at least twice as many of each ride/attraction because they took forever…like literally 5 minutes per family/group, so if there were 6 groups in line it would take 30 minutes to get to you. They also call it “all inclusive” and then have a ton of pay-to-play games. Overall it felt like a lot of waiting around for a mildly amusing time. The kids enjoyed it, but if they knew what else we could have done for the money they would have chosen something else.

We visited this just 3 days after shutdown orders were lifted. I truly must commend the staff and establishment for all that they did to accommodate all of their guests. Even though we had to wait outside for about 30 minutes, the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and very sincere. Once we were in the attraction, there was enough to do so that we were far enough away from other guests at all times. There are 3 floors of activities and we decided to go upstairs and start there because it was less crowded. Then we came back down and completed the activities we missed when they weren't so crowded. It was a great experience. Also, they have an in and out policy so you can go and get something to eat at the restaurants nearby and then go back into WonderWorks if you choose to do so.

Thank you for visiting us for some fun after being in a lock down. We understand that after everything that has been happening, we wanted to be a place where families could come and have fun indoors for the summer! Our goal is to keep guests safe while still giving them the summer memories to remember forever and we are so glad you were able to experience that! We hope to see you again soon!

Some of the things in the all access pass we will not be doing, is there a ticket package where I can choose which activities?

Just wanted to add that the entrees between the adult (13+) and child portions looked similar, but that was a while ago and it could be different now!

We didn’t order child portions, however, my daughters shared chicken tenders \fries adult portion. They had 4 tenders. I believe the menu had something saying that only children could order off the child menu. I think you are still right about portions. We saw other children eating nice portions of food.

I would visit their website for full details. I tried to post link here and trip advisor would not permit.
too much to list ! It was better than I thought. Took half the day and we didn't even do everything. Interactive fun for all ages. We also did the outdoor zipline and ropes course. Would go again. If you are staying at a property nearby, they may offer discount .

I was thinking about going today with my children. I have a 16 year old and 4 year old. Is it something boy of them would enjoy or should I leave the 4 year old at the resort with dad and just take the 16 year old? I never come down in the winter and I'm not sure what to do for activities.

Such age difference, my opinion is that both parents go, one with each child so they can enjoy their own unique experiences. Then meet at the end

I should also say that other travelers are correct also. it is geared towards older kids but in my opinion, it's a family place and fun for all ages. we were not in line long at all but I have seen the lines be quite long and the youngsters don't quite like that. but take my advice and go ahead and go, take your 3 year old, and if there are others in your group just take turns on who will do things with 3 year old and before you know it, you'll be able to do it all. you're not gonna be rushed out the door so do as you feel comfortable
