This can be a great time or a over crowed exhausting time. It depends on the time of year you go and the day you go. On Friday and Saturday night during the summer you will literally bump into people, everything is super loud, rude kids running around, unruly teenagers, and driving in and out of the Grand Strand is... Although not for everybody, this is a fun place for more mature kids-at-heart like me, or for kids, period. If you don't like kitsch, stay away, but I love the old and new arcade games, the tickets-for-prizes, and souvenirs galore.

Nothing new or unique here - cheaply manufactured but expensively priced t-shirts, beachwear and boogie boards staffed by disinterested teenagers.

With a carnival-like atmosphere, this area was full of people, and much going on. Many souvenir stores--all carrying the same things, many bar/restaurants--overpriced, arcade games, amusement rides. and stages for live entertainment. It was interesting at first, but the further I walked the more repeated everything was, and turned around.

Fun in the waves, waterparks, and miniature golf are just some of the fun activities a family can enjoy! Beautiful beaches abound! Restaurants galore! We stayed away from the boardwalk area, but the surrounding areas such as Surfside, Garden City, Nurrells Inlet and North Myrtle Beach, Barefoot landing are worth a visit.

We went here around 8pm and it was just disgusting. Totally trashy and just not what I wanted to bring my kids around. Stay away if you have strollers or small kids.

Too hot too crowded too trashy. Clean and best store was I love Sugar? The Gay Dolphin was huge and filled with oddities to bring back home.
