The spa staff are very welcoming and friendly! They go above and beyond to make your time at the spa relaxing and enjoyable. My you g adult daughter and I each enjoyed the massage, facial, and soaking tub. We highly recommend this place!!! Prices are higher than the services we get at home, but that is to be expected in a tourist/vacation hot spot.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and booked the couples retreat. Great day for us! They were very professional and our time in the sea salt soak was perfect followed by a massage. Lenora and Shereen gave a great massage! It is a do over for sure!

I had the best facial I have ever had from Helen and she suggested products to help my completion. My facial was followed by a deep tissue massage by Maria and man did she hit it out of the park! I would highly recommend both of these services. Everyone in the spa was nice and very helpful. I felt very pampered. I will definitely book an appointment the next time I am in Myrtle Beach!

We all thank you for taking the time to write your review! Maria performed your facial, and Helen your massage (just in case anyone requests them based on your recommendation :))
Hope we get to take care of again soon!

My husband surprised me with spa treatments for our anniversary. The experience was AWESOME! The staff was extremely nice, welcoming, and pleasant. The spa ambiance is very relaxing and inviting. My husband and I did a couple's massage and a couple's relaxation bath - both were AMAZING!
I would highly recommend visiting this spa.

Went to Myrtle Beach for vacation when cruise was canceled. we didn't stay at The Anderson because it was booked. Treated granddaughter to a massage and facial. The day before they called and canceled the massage do to a death in the family of the masseuse. Could not reschedule booked till we left. She did have the facial and said it was wonderful. People were very helpful. Sister had both the next day and said it was the best she ever had. Hope to stay there next time we visit Myrtle Beach.

Amazing experience! Had the couples massage and a private salt soak. Perfect ambiance, caring staff. Plus they have a locker room with towels and comfy shoes to wear for the duration of the visit. I will be back and you should too!

If you are looking for a nice place to get a manicure or pedicure don't go here. There are only two spots to get a pedicure and one spot for a manicure (not the perfect place to go if you want to enjoy a litle pampering with a friend or family member).
The pedicure area has you stepping up and sitting on a bleacher like platform with your legs danglinging in a small bowl. No comfy vibrating chairs; just hard benches with slippery pillows. I have sat at sports stadiums that were more comfortable. If you are under 5'8'' forget about having your feet even hit the water. If you are handicapped - go somewhere else, this place is NOT accessible. I also wouldn't recommend it for anyone who thinks they might have trouble climbing bleachers, cause you have to do this to get the pedicure.
The nail technicians are not technicians at all and the service is horrible. Our polish was coming off our nails before we even walked out of the building. No relaxing foot or hand rubs are part of their spa manicure/pedicure. They don't even know how to file your nails. For $125 per person, for the spa mani/pedi it is a huge rip off. And watch out. They automatically add in a 20% gratuity to your bill as standard practice.
All the people there are very nice, they just don't have a clue about what they are doing. Save your money and paint your nails in your room.

I signed up for a one hour deep muscle massage. Michelle was the masseuse. She was prompt, explained everything, asked me about what I wanted and made me feel comfortable. The massage was wonderful and she earned a great tip. Also, Theresa at the front desk gave me a warm welcome, put me at ease and made me feel like a VIP. She walked me through the experience and made me feel like one of her best friends. I will be back on my next visit. Great value and exceptional customer service!!

Anderson Ocean Club is an amazing place to vacation by itself, but our experiences at The Amazing Spa was a special added treat. My wife and I were visiting the area as a second honeymoon (our 44th anniversary) and loved the hotel and the area. Our wonderful couples massage at The Awakening Spa was the most relaxing and refreshing experience of our stay. The managers, Theresa and Rose were so nice and showed us all the options the Spa had to offer. Two wonderful ladies, Lenora and Lakrya, gave us the most relaxing back, shoulder and neck massage we had had in a long time. I urge anyone who wants a romantic get-a-way with an extra special touch (no pun intended), to visit The Awakening Spa at the Anderson Ocean Club and Spa on your next visit to Myrtle Beach, SC.

It's very noisy, doors slamming.. can hear conversations in the hallway during my service. There's definitely better places up north that you will get much better service. This place isn't worth it!! Tiny locker rooms!! Relaxation room was not relaxing.
