Hot day and we were looking for a slushy boozy drink and found them here, which for $18 also included the logo glass. You need a high chair to see the ocean, and they keep the place cool. Lots of parking available. You get a 50% reduction with your receipt to go on the pier (nothing special unless you are fishing) and if you go on the pier first, that receipt gets you 10% off in the restaurant (so do the math!).

Nice pier. Care, very careful, of casting as it is built over the remains of previous piers and they eat all lures! Drop line straight down. Some fish are there. Great view of Myrtle Beach from the end. You can buy bait from the shop.

The main man Bob was off today and the people left in his place had a very nasty attitude. They actually close at 10 pm. Today a bad attitude guy came down the pier with a beer in his hand ordering people off the pier at 9:15 pm. You could tell he had been drinking for a while and he stated it doesn't matter if you paid to fish till 10 pm. They will close the pier whenever they want to. Drinking on the job is very unprofessional and I have never seen people of this low mentality working at this Pier till now. They need to post the operating hours and stick to them. Also they need to be more professional and not drink BEER when doing their job. oh, alcohol is forbidden in the Pier. Not a very good family environment.

Had dinner with family (four adults and one child) . Had to send back one order as it was cold, so that person ate after the others. Got the check to find a 20% service charge added and then it suggested a gratuity be added. Ate a dozen othe places with the same group in that area and no one else added a service charge.

Larger of the two piers near the “center” of Myrtle Beach. Cost $2/adult to walk but well worth it. Lots of people fishing but you don’t feel in the way if you aren’t. Great views of the entire coastline!

I went here every day of my trip. $2 a day. Talked to Jeff, Mike, Bob and the rest. I met Fred the Pelican. Great views of the beach north and south. The staff is just super. A great bunch of guys. Coming from Ohio, i lost all my stress on day one. i walked 2.5 miles from my beach house every day and spent hours on the pier. $2 is a bargain for some serenity. Signed, Cowboy DEV

We walked out here a couple times in the evening. The fishermen were catching all sorts of fish (baby shark was cool), most of which got thrown back. Not sure where the sea gulls were. Nice view of downtown amusement park. End of pier needed repair and was blocked off.

Do not go here ! No public restrooms and we drove OVER 20 MINUTES here for the pier to be closed ??? Online said they were open . It was only 1pm & a sunny day . Waste of time. No number to call (disconnected #) . There was just a sign on the door written in sharpie “pier closed”….

Sad to see the changes made on the third floor. It used to be open air, great sea breeze all the time, beautiful views. Now it’s all glassed in. Prices are too high for what you are getting. Service so-so. Watch your receipt. Gratuity may already be added in. Likely will not return.

Pier has everything you need, including a place to eat! There is an on site tackle shop, rod rentals, and so on. Pier is clean and large enough for everyone.
