Tons to do here, mostly for younger children. Plenty of swings including those for special needs children. Clean facilities and even a working water fountain. The area is fenced in which is nice and there is a huge lake that my son enjoyed chasing geese at. The ground is rubber and padded for safer play. I was really impressed and wish I had a playground like this where I live. If your in Myrtle Beach and have little ones, I highly recommend going here.

This is a great budget option (free) for Myrtle Beach, especially on a cool day when it is too cold to go to the beach. Extremely large playground with lots to do if you are a kid. Playground is in fabulous shape and looks new.
Need to map it out because the park is located back behind some newly developed neighborhoods but near the Market Commons area and airport. Would highly recommend for kids ten and younger.

Not having any little ones in the family I have never been inside the actual play area. However, I have walked my dog past it a number of times. First watching being developed and now watching children and their parents at play. Savannah's Playground is I believe the nicest playground of it's type I've ever seen. There are a number of things for children to climb or ride on. A couple of items for them to make "music" on. If your in the area go. Let the little ones burn off some energy and then go and visit the shops and eateries of the Market Common.

Amazing. This place is huge and so much fun. If you've been to the Sassafras playground in Raleigh, this one is bigger than that. The only disappointment was that the sound garden doesn't have mallets to play on the sound garden. The bathrooms were great and large. It was easy to fit a stroller through the door and bring the family in at once. There was ple ty of seating for parents. Parking was easy.
We definitely recommend visiting. Then walk overthe bridge to eat at the nacho place.

Savannah’s Playground is a wonderful place for children of all ages to have fun for free! When we went, there were a lot of people there-but the playground is so large large and set up with different stations, it was not a problem. Our 5 year old twins especially loved the “zip lines”. There are two different versions - a version for younger children to be strapped into a seat and a version for older children to hold onto a rope and stand/sit on a disc. Our kids loved both.
Our kids also enjoyed the large playground at the entry which houses multiple slides, various ways to climb, obstacles and more. The tallest portion of this area is designed to resemble a tree and has three tall slides. A portion of this play area is also accessible by wheelchair and other mobility devices with accessible slides and other activities available. There are some shaded areas on this part of the playground, especially at the tree-but I can imagine it would be really hot in the middle of summer (we were here in December).
The playground also boasts a fairly large outdoor music area where children (and adults) can play built-in drums, chimes and various xylophones.
The playground also contains an area for older children and adults with obstacle courses designed out of rope and tires. Our kids didn’t play here long as it was too difficult for their age.
Another wonderful feature of the playground is it’s proximity to the Market Commons. After playing for a bit late afternoon/evening, we walked over to PF Chang’s for dinner.
I can not recommend this playground enough while you are visiting with family!

This is the best playground we have visited. Such a variety of things to explore. We could have stayed for much longer. There were tons of things for both kids to enjoy (3yr old and a 16 mth old).

We visited here with 4 adults and 3 kids under 5yo. The kids had the time of their life! There is so much play equipment here for children from toddler age up, of differing abilities. There is a large music section, and toddler-specific section, zip lines and climbing frames for the older kids. The playground surface is fairly soft and forgiving for when the kids fall down. There was also a water fountain and small rest-room building. Next to the playground is a grassy sports area, with several ponds with ducks and turtles. The only slight drawback we found was that there was little shade, but the kids didn’t seem to mind.

What amusements & fun things are there for kids that are still open in Myrtle Beach? Is there still a free park with free things for a 3yr old?
How far is this park located to the airport?

Is there a water park here? How much is the cost?

No, sorry, there is not a water park at this playground. It is most likely the best playground you will ever have your children play on. So many options for children ages 0-10. It's free and your kids will love it.
Does this playground have picnic tables or shelter houses available for a picnic?

There are a few shelters with picnic tables around the park and Market Commons.
I wanted to hold a small party there for my 1 year old in March. Do I need to contact or reserve anything? Are there picnic tables or something along those lines to be able to set good on?
