We had a great time at the Marshwalk. Lots to see and lots of restaurants with outdoor seating. We were there in March during the week so it wasn’t overly crowded, but as the night went on the crowds began to grow. Great time but if you have kids, I’d recommend going earlier. If the crowds don’t both you, turn won’t matter. Overall, a great place to hang out and spend the day (and get some drinks/food).

We've visited MarshWalk dozens of times over the past few years. We love it. The views of the inlet, boats, and goats are great, and we always enjoy a nice stroll after a meal at one of the great seafood restaurants. During the offseason and mornings, the area is more relaxed. Summer evenings and event days are typically crowded with awful parking and traffic, but walkers are courteous and fun. Anyone visiting the area should visit MarshWalk at least once. (Avoid days after rain, as the sidewalk tends to flood where Wicked Tuna's pier and marina connects to the rest of MarshWalk .)

I am a local and have been going to the Marshwalk since it opened 20 years ago. If you are visiting the Myrtle Beach area, you want to reserve one afternoon/evening to “do the inlet.” Several of the restaurant have live music in the weekends and the views of nature are amazing! You will see pelicans, White Herons, spartina cordgrass and Garden City in the distance. You can enjoy a beautiful view from any of the restaurants and take in the smell of the salt marsh as you stroll. Enjoy fresh seafood of all kinds at several waterfront restaurants. It’s a delight for all the senses!!

One and done with this walk. too many people in too small a space, most of them waiting to get into a restaurant. If you get to the very end with the dock the view is pretty with the goats and water birds, but getting there is a nightmare. Weekends are the worst with bands playing in every bar trying to overpower each other and deafen the diners. not my scene; however, if you want quiet try a drink on J Peters back patio. it was quiet and did not have a noisy band or people hanging around.

Decided to go to the marsh walk to see how things are going. With all this virus stuff , I am happy to be just out walking around. The restaurant's are open, following the new normal, tables are spaced 6 feet apart. Looks strange but it will work, alot of outside seating. Wait staff wearing mask and gloves, beer and wine service only. Not crowded, but they are doing what has to be done.

We came back to the MarshWalk after discovering it last June and noticed it was twice as crowded this year versus the "Covid" summer last year. We love the leisurely boardwalk pace, open container law, MarshWalk bar hut, great restaurants and scenery. Due to the crowds and staffing problems you need to get to the restaurants by 5 to get in without a wait, we discovered twice. What a South Carolina gem.

Marsh walk is a really cool place if you are visiting here in Murrells inlet and don’t know where to go. Beautiful Marsh, and a lot of Seafood restaurants. I myself, do not eat seafood, however, Drunken Jacks and Dead Dog Saloon definitely have a huge variety of other options. Great atmosphere, and good times all around. Wicked Tuna is perfect for seafood lovers and they also have an outdoor bar, (but not really outdoors all the time), called The Tuna Shack! It’s great for y’all who just want to bar hop around, meet people, socialize, and enjoy a few cocktails.

Beautiful marsh views, fabulous sunsets, watch the goats or the cranes or blue herons. Enjoy the beauty of nature minus all the negativity in the world today. Turn off the TV, forget COVID for an hour and treat yourself. Go outdoors and find the serenity you deserve.

It was a beautiful May day, and my first time here, but I was totally charmed. The Marsh walk is an easy to navigate boardwalk. (I was traveling with an elderly person using a walker). There were benches along the side where my companion could sit and rest comfortably while I walked further along the walk. Great people watching. There are many eating and drinking establishments along the way. It was fun to see schools of fish in the water, turtles, and jelly fish. If you are in the neighborhood, I highly recommend. (Can spend as little as 30 minutes if you walk quickly, or a couple of hours if you include lunch.)
