A Piece of Heaven

At any time of day, any time of year, the Marshwalk is a piece of Heaven. The tides, the wild life (humans and nature) are amazing to watch. My favorite place on earth.

After dinner at Wahoo's Fish House, we walked along the Marsh Walk and really enjoyed the views. Tidal marsh, birds of all kinds and boats in the distance made for an enjoyable experience. Check the local restaurants for small festivals in the area or just have dinner and a peaceful walk. A very good experience for an early evening.

You can walk around on the pier and then stop at one of the several restaurants for lunch or dinner. Bring your camera to take pictures of the goats on the island and the marshes.

We go out on Inlet cruises from the Marshwalk. Fun evening with friends! There are also, restaurants along the Marshwalk. There are bands in the Summer. Halloween is a great time with most kids and adults in costume.

I was blessed to have been right raised here in this wonderful fishing village. This is a very wonderful place for me, and it has been many years since I have lived here full-time, but it feels like yesterday that I was a kid playing, fishing, and crabbing here in the creek. My father was a sea captain here many... More

Lovely, relaxing boardwalk along the inlet. Restaurants lining the walk, with marsh birds on the small islands, as well as the famous goats of Goat Island.

The marsh walk is a perfect afternoon activity for those who enjoy nature but are not ready to lace up their hiking boots. Perfect mix of marsh, birds, ambience and food and drink. We were there in the afternoon but think coming back at night would be fun!

What a good combination to do the Marshwalk and eat seafood from different restaurants. Watching the brown pelicans dive for their food is fun since these pelicans are the only pelicans that dive for their food. Easy to walk after a meal. Would recommend.
