We discovered the Lazy Gator in 2020 and happened back in to look around on an off beach day. It is a neat old structure and the store rambles a little with a host of products including fudge. My 2 go to fudges are Key Lime and Watermelon and it is rare to them, but the fact the Lazy Gator had them both was unbelievable.

Large building chock full of different things. T shirts, Christmas ornaments, knick knacks, shells, home decor. We got some chocolate truffles. A good place to spend an hour or so and do some shopping. Spend your money with the locals.

This place has a variety of things that you can buy, but the Fudge is the main attraction. Make sure you stop by this play while in the area!

I have lived in the area for 3 almost 4 years now and when we visited lazy gator almost a year ago it was very friendly and nice to shop at but this time it was just awful. I had told family I had visiting from out of town how great it was and I was very embarrassed by my statement when we were there today. One girl was helping me one second(short brown hair no name tag) then just ditched me. I seriously waited 20 minutes for another employee. I even sent my kids to ask someone to come help. They said they were coming but never came. If she had helped I would of bought two $35.00 wind chimes but I no longer felt the need to give my money to this establishment. The crew was just( plain and simple)rude. Many items don't have price tags so you have to ask prices. One teenage guy at the counter seemed drugged- you could barley understand him. So I let my kids pick out something small I got my 50% off shirt and some fudge and left. Not coming back and to the people planning to visit and are reading this.....the Hammock shops in Pawleys are friendlier and better go there.

I come here every time I visit the area and it's one of my favorite shops. It has a wide variety of things from t-shirts, Tervis cups, boutique type jewelry, Christmas items, really something for everyone! It has a cool pirate ship outside for kids and rockers on the porch for the hubbies!

My wife and I are from Wilmington, NC and we have a special love for the carolinas coastal fishing communitites. We work in healthcare so we understand "having a bad day" or even feeling trapped in a small town. But when it comes to simple product sales and even faking a smile these 2 employees were terrible. We're given a purple arm band that our resort compliments us at certain retailers for 10% off. After talking to the older skinny lady about a candle not seen on the shelf all we got was "We're phasing these out and will not reorder them" and after asking her to add the oz's to make it that certain price for that particulAr oz she was verbally short winded, said noway and turned her back and walked off. THAT's no big deal but as we're buying our $50 in candles and spending at least 15 minutes (I was wearing my purple 10% off bracelet) we left without a discount. We got home and called Lexie, in no way what so ever would she work with us. We couldn't refund it in order to repurchase it and THEN get the 10% off, no way at all could we come back and simply receive our entitled $5 and she was so short spoken with a terrible attitude (like I was bothering her) that we won't go back for that $100.00 crab-glass-light. I guess anyone without a lick of people skills can work a register. The money isn't the issue and we don't expect every sales person to be happy but trust me, these people would swindle a quarter off you and frown as they tell you to leave if they could get away with it.

We are so sorry that you had this experience at our store and I can assure you that we do NOT expect our staff to treat customers this way. If there is any way that we can make this right for you, please let us know. One of the staff members mentioned in this review was let go due to customer service issues. We honor our coupons and specials, and train all staff to make your experience as a guest, pleasant & fun. If it was anything other than that, please contact management!

Located just across the street from the Murrell's Inlet Marshwalk, the Lazy Gator is an inviting stop with it's wrap around porch and location among the oak trees. They sell just about everything from your basic souvenirs to home accessories, clothing, candles, signs, ice cream, fudge and the list goes on. Attractive shop with nicely displayed merchandaise.

Centered near the seafood capital of SC The MarshWalk containing gift, kitchen, craft and jewelry items for souvenirs or unique gifts. The location next the fresh ice cream parlor and the colorful rocking chairs on the porch make for relaxing in a southern state of mind. Look for the craft shows under the oaks
