Captain Jamey did an excellent job of making everyone relaxed for the trip. Our younger son battles Asperger's, and he was initially nervous about being out on the ocean. However, Captain Jamey's expert handling of the vessel quickly put our son at ease, to the point that he was enjoying every wave and splash of sea spray.

Captain Jamey made it very clear up front that we might not see any dolphins, and sadly, we did not. However, the trip along the coast was more then worth the ticket price, and the stories he shared about the area and points of interest were wonderful. I had never been all the way to Midway Inlet before, and truly enjoyed seeing familiar parts of the coastline from the water - a new perspective!

Our family will be back as soon as we can. Keep up the great work, Blue Wave Adventures!

Great job by Capt. Jamie and Amy! Very informative and fun cruise despite some rock and rolling water. Really appreciate the time they take to tell you about what you are seeing, with plenty of humor to keep the young ones engaged. Nice that they strive to run a business that is so environmentally responsible also, following the guidelines to keep the dolphins safe, getting offsets so they are carbon neutral, and informing you about the harm they see firsthand from plastic pollution in the ocean. Couldn’t be happier with our trip!

Excellent fun! We went 5/16/22 @ 10 am. The captain was great, the crew was great. Even if you don't see dolphin, it is well worth it. We did see dolphin towards the end of our cruise, but as we were searching they took us down and up the coast, gave us tons of interesting information, and the captain had everyone laughing from the start. It was a great time. Highly recommend.

We knew we were taking a risk booking on a cold windy 50° morning. We prepared as best we could and dressed warm for those ocean winds. We knew the chances of seeing dolphins were completely dependent on nature. I think most that are disappointed expect these captains and crew to control things out of the their control. We had a great time. We did see a mother and a baby dolphin. But we throughly enjoyed the captains positive energy, jokes, and kindness. He kept us entertained and educated us more on dolphins and distracted us from the cold. We are grateful for the experience. My 7 and 9 year old loved it. They said “even if we had not seen any dolphins it was still a cool boat ride and chance to experience the ocean.”

Excellent even though we didn’t see dolphins! Obviously no guarantees to see wild life, but the Captain was so informative about the area and so funny with his quips and comments that it was entirely worth it and enjoyable. I’ll do this again in hopes of seeing dolphins. Highly recommend this!!!!

So my family is in for the week and I decided to book my family a dolphin tour and let my kids have some fun however I did make a mistake while booking and did not realize my one and two year old couldn’t go. So it was my fault. (Even tho they are allowed on other boats because they went last year) the lady at the front desk was Extremely rude and refused any kind of refund. I understand those spots could have been took by someone and you could have made money, but you do tours everyday and one family comes in and makes a mistake and you refuse to give any money back so we could take the kids somewhere else is extremely greedy and no way to run a business. And once again the lady was so rude. Would not recommend. The company is very about money and that’s absolutely it.

Kelsieh175 Your reservation was made by Micheal D Houser online at 1:59pm on 3/21/22. He checked several boxes before his reservation could be completed. One says this “No one under age 3 or expecting mothers can participate For your safety expecting mothers and children under the age of 3 are not permitted to attend this excursion. They will not be permitted onboard.” In addition, our website, crazy sister marina’s (where we operate from) website say that we do not take children under 3. Last year you must have gone with another company as we have never allowed children under 3. I am sorry you felt the office staff was rude, however your group did curse at the office staff and walked out. Every boat tour in Myrtle Beach has a no show/cancellation policy as you are reserving a seat. We provide all the information we possibly can but we cannot be responsible for folks not reading it. You called the marine office and told them your husband didn’t know what he read. Now as for your comments about greed and only being about money, you are absolutely incorrect!! We are a small family run business. We have not raised our prices in over 10 years, to keep it affordable for families. We go further and longer than any other Dolphin tour in Murrells Inlet to provide guests with the best experience. We are paying $4.50 a gallon at the marina right now for gas and we have a 315gal tank to fill. In addition to the dozens of other costs it takes to run a small business. In closing, while I understand your frustration when you make a reservation, you are reserving a seat and that is a commitment. We offered the rest of your group to go and one stay back with the 1 and 2 year old but you refused and stormed out.

Best part of my trip! I went in without expectations, just happy to be out on the water for a bit. I did the Osprey tour, and Captain Jamey & First Mate Amy were great. I loved how the two boats work together alternating times/routes so that they could be spotters for the other. We headed north passed the Garden City area and didn't think we would have much luck until the Captain of the other boat radioed in the dolphins they spotted. We ended up seeing quite a large pod, there was one guy who just kept darting up out of the water putting on quite a show. Overall a huge success!

On another note, the company is very involved in conservation efforts and passionate about saving our planet and marine life. They are involved on many levels (check out the about us section on their website), and imo reason enough to choose touring with them!

Nice boat ride on a choppy day. Always fun to be out on the ocean. We saw jellyfish and enough pelicans that they should call it the Pelican Cruise...but no dolphins on this day. The overall experience was great - I dropped a star because of the environmental sermon we got while on the cruise. I love the ocean and want it to be healthy but the environmental propaganda was a little over the top. But if you are looking for a good boat ride and the chance to see some wildlife then this is definitely worth the $31.

The captain was knowledgeable about the area and kept us entertained the whole time. Unfortunately we didn't see dolphins the day we went but the trip was still great and we would recommend it. Will be back again in hopes to see dolphins!

Well, the dolphin cruise was great. If we could've controlled the weather and made dolphins appear, it would've been perfect. The company makes it very clear that dolphin sighting is not a guarantee. We knew a storm had come through, and figured the dolphins would be out in deeper waters. They were. But we still enjoyed ourselves. The captain was quite humorous, and we saw some beautiful coastline. They warned us that the water was bumpy, but it didn't seem that bad. I only heard one woman asking for the blue bag (which then became her souvenir lol!) I would highly recommend the Blue Wave dolphin cruise.
