This is a nice relaxing cruise, the boat isn't fancy but sufficient. Not sure if there is A/C on board, we didn't need it when we went. Just some notes, there is one marine toilet on the boat and two bathrooms at the marina so plan ahead. There was quite a line for the bathrooms at the marina just before... More

The Plantation Tours is 2.5 hours of nature's beauty interwoven with the history of our Nation. See estates circa 1706. Simply wonderful.

Was treated nasty on the phone.I almost canceled my trip.I got there to check in and a too hyped up. blond haired gal was just as nasty. I really started wondering what I had gotten ourselves into. But as we cruised down the river and listened to the history and saw the nature and rice plantations, it was all worth... More

This is good for children that want to learn and see gators...that is what we saw most of. Guide gave good information with the rice plantations and history of surrounding areas. We thought it was going to be more about history and riding through the swamp lands like at the end. The ending was awesome...but that is coming from somebody... More

Enjoyable ride. However, because the tide was not high we were not able to go through the reeds (I think that is what they would be called). We stayed on the river. Saw alligators, turtles, herons, osprey, etc. Comfortable boat and easy to get in and out of, even with bad knees.

I have family visiting and am also new to the area so looked online and found this tour. We were fortunate as it was a beautiful day to be on the rivers - Waccamaw and PeeDee. The tour was very informative with the guide providing information about the early history of the area, the many plantations, agriculture and how much... More

So interesting to see the plantations from the river. Being a docent at Brookgreen Gardens. it was wonderful to see the actual plan for rice delivery to the Waccamaw River, then down to Georgetown, and then overseas. thank you. A great lecture regarding river conversation.

This tour was very educational. It is a great way to discover the early history of South Carolina and its dependence on rice being grown by slaves brought over from Africa. It was cold on the day we visited so most people stayed inside, but we could still see all of the sites along the river. Some beautiful houses are... More

We are locals & let our 4 kids pick something to do over spring break. This was a great choice. You will not be disappointed. Very friendly staff. You do need a coupon for every person in your party. If you are booking online you will need to book each one separate to use a coupon for each person .

I went on the air boat tour while my hubby was golfing. It was easy to make a reservation on-line. I sat in the front and enjoyed the tour. There were no gators to spot that day, but we saw plenty of birds (egret, blue heron, bald eagle, etc) and lots of turtles sunning themselves. I'd recommend it to anyone.... More
