Interesting explanation of salt marshes. Nice board walks to view marshes. We walked the beach too. $5. a person for seniors out of state. We wished we had gotten there earlier as we arrived about 3 pm. Interesting even for winter.

Very special place to enjoy looking for the alligators in the pond or birflife abound in the marsh. Take a hike on the beach which has miles of sandy white oceanfront to the jetty. This appears to be a sought after camping location since the oceanfront location and amenities. Bikers love this easy to ride park. Must see Atalya. Special... More

Admission paid at Myrtle Beach State Park gets you in here the same day. To experience the Marsh Walk, turn on Prat Road and then left toward Education Center. We found this a five senses area- and at low tide it is possible to view the creatures and workings of the marsh. Plaques with info. The boardwalk extends into the... More

We buy a year membership every year since we are local and makes since for us. We go since they have better bathrooms than public beach accesses (although they don't have any papery peels or hand dryer? Which I always thought was strange). Not many seashells though, if you are wanting those go more north Myrtle. Even during busy season... More

A good place to relax and walk the beach. Dogs are allowed to join you. It was quiet and right on the ocean.

Beautiful park. We bring our bikes, the bike trail goes right through there. We lucked out today and saw an alligator. YAY!

For close to 30 years, my family has made the trip to the shore of South Carolina for vacations. The beachfront cannot be beat! This last year, we decided to explore further and visited Huntington Beach State Park. The Park has a lot to offer, including camping, beaches and a great marsh-walk. We've used the pristine beaches, and I, more... More

very nice state park with good amenities and a nice clean beach. We were there in August and the crowds were light, plenty of beach to set up on. The alligator pond is always fun to walk around with plenty of other native wildlife to be seen

We had to get up super early to come here so it was still cool enough for the alligators to be at the surface, but it was so worth it! I couldn't believe I was seeing real alligators up close without a piece of glass between us! So incredible.
