What a great and fun course. Played it on March 9th,2020, with a group of 24. They had 3 inches of rain 3 days earlier. You could not tell it on the course. Fairways were fantastic and carts on fairways all the way. Greens were fast but putted true and fair. Bunkers were great to get out of. Staff was one of the best we have dealt with and I have been bringing a group of 24 to 40 to Myrtle every year since 1983.
We recommend this course to all handicappers. We will return next year in March.

Checking in was easy/fast and the 19th hole folks were friendly and accommodating. They have a nice practice facilities with a bunker. The course was in great shape, especially the greens. It's a difficult but fair golf course with several forced carries over pond and wetlands. It also has a few very tricky holes that really add to my enjoyment, especially short par 4's. The course also has great greenside bunkering. We saw a few alligators, which always adds to the excitement.

Been awhile since I played Blackmoor and it was wet but in great shape following a day with over 2" of rain...the course is tight on a lot of holes but was well overseeded for winter and greens were smooth and fast.....Played in under 4 hours also....kudos to the management for a great time!

We were golfing and having a good time. Unfortunately was put into a foursome so didn’t know the other two guys. Had a twosome behind us so we let them play through. Then this guy shows up on maybe the 6th or 7th holes and belittled us about being 5 minutes behind our scheduled time allotted. That we should never be behind. That it was unacceptable even though I explained we let a twosome go through. This ruined our whole day. My son and I decided not to play a couple holes so we could get caught up. BTW we finished 22 minutes ahead of our time. Rude staff all around a bad experience for the price would not recommend golfing there.

Today, January 24th, we played Blackmoor for the 3rd time since new years and without a doubt the last time.
Four mid 70s retired business had a minor incident on the course with the refreshment girl, that almost turned into a physical alteration by one of their employees who was accompanied by the asst pro. Neither knew the full story but elected to meet our group just yards before the 18th green and attempt to turn it physical without knowing the story.
Our group plays their course no less than 4 times per month, January thru to April. Thats approx 50 rounds of golf that will be going elsewhere.
Bad enough the course was swampy and it was cart path only, and the tee boxes were a field of divots, we had over an hour delay in tee time due to frost.
I guess they have too much business they can afford to treat paying customers the way they did.
Suggestion.......there is always three sides to every story, his, hers and theirs.

After 9 holes a group of 3 young men were teeing off in front of us. They had 1 set of clubs between them, and didn't have much of a game. We didn't know where they came from or if they were supposed to cut in front of us. We called the club house and were told they let them play, but they sent out a "course supervisor". After speaking to him, and him indicating that he'd move them to the front nine, nothing was done. I guess since they were basically keeping up with the group in front, they were allowed to keep playing. They were throwing clubs back and forth, and now proceeded to "hoot and holler". When we finished, and went to our cars (there were 3 of us in 2 vehicles) they were still hanging around there cars. Once we drove off, they started playing some road games in there 2 vehicles. They'd drive slow, one in front and one behind us, speed up, then delay at a light so we wouldn't get through, etc. All in all, a very unpleasant experience, and to top it off, the management of the course didn't seem to give a damn... We won't golf there again!!!

Had a great time at this course. I finally got to play it. The course was in good shape. Greens were very true and quick. The staff was Awesome from the time you get there to the time you put your clubs back in your car. Yes I would play here again. Played the white tees. Not to long but challenging. Yes on 8 I went the short way and made it over the cart path. Chipped up and missed the 8 foot putt for birdie but did make the easy tap in for par.. Also found a gator sunning on Hole 9.

Just played there today, The course is a S**T HOLE at best. Very poor tee boxes, several greens need repair, course under construction on several holes, tractors sitting unoccupied in the middle of fairways and in need of desperate re-construction. VERY DISAPPOINTED.....................

After told to go to first tee five guys showed and the Sartre let them go ahead of us. Ok on a very busy day we've got five in front of us and two threesomes teamed up behind us. Result was a 5 and a half hour round. Very unprofessional for a nice, playable course. Would probably not go back.

If you want a great golf experience make sure Blackmoor is on your list to play. The entire staff, and I mean everyone is helpful, friendly and making certain this is a great round of golf on your vacation. The course was in excellent condition and the greens were unbelievable considering we played the last part of August. My son and I truly enjoyed our round and have every time we have played Blackmoor. We will return on our next vacation. Thanks
