I wanted to see the vessel. I like information, history, stories that make old things come to life and breathe with the past. My oldest daughter wanted to go on a ghost tour. Since this said ages 4 and up, I figured our youngest wouldn't...More

I really enjoyed the Ghost Tour even though we did not see a ghost. Don, our tour guide was a wealth of knowledge and very entertaining. I would recommend the tour and have already done so to my friends that frequent the Charleston area. The...More

Very authentic tour. Our family (age 13 and 10) had been on the Yorktown before but this tour was a totally different experience. Our tour guide Bruce, a historian and an author, had some personal stories and has definitely done his homework about the Yorktown....More

Simms was absolutely awesome. He was incredibly knowledgable about the history of the ship ,which made the ghost tour more personal. It wasn't just walking around looking for a ghost it was a history lesson and it was AWESOME !!!!!

Awesome tour on the Yorktown . A good mix of the history of the ship and the “hot spots “ where activity has been been reported . Tour guide told many stories about the ghosts on the ship and provided video and picture evidence. After...More

We had already planned and purchased tickets prior to our trip. If you have never been on a tour of a military ship, be sure you consider the temperature before booking your visit. It was so hot on side the boat I was miserable. It...More

We had 8 in our group for the tour. We learned a lot of history about the things that occurred on the ship. It was not very scary but it was a very respectful tour about those that died aboard. No ghost sightings on our...More

We purchased our tickets online for a 9:30pm ghost tour for 6/22/18, arrived at 9pm, and found others waiting. We waited and waited, and finally around 10:15, we found out there was a miscommunication and the tour was cancelled. They had the Boy Scouts on...More

No, it's just a guideline. They use it so small children won't ruin the trip for the group since it is a ghost tour after all. But my 9 year old loved it and was scared at one part and simply hung back with mom while I... More

You can certainly visit that part of the ship during the day. Typically the ghost tour does not go through the engine room because of the time it take to get down there. Please send an email to the address found on our... More
