Lovely walk out on Boardwalk. Great restaurants right there. We did the kayak ride and loved it. Parking is an issue but should not stop you.

The boardwalk on Shem Creek is really great and now it's finished so it's longer. It now goes all the way to Coleman Blvd. I live locally, and we went for a walk there last month after eating at The Shelter. It made me feel like I was on vacation! So much to look at...boats, shrimp trawlers, beautiful marsh &... More

We love to walk Shem Creek and see the beautiful scenery! We have seen dolphins multiple times, pelicans routinely, and lots of interesting birds. A wonderful place to stroll, eat at a restaurant, and watch the boats and kayakers.

This is fantastic for "Home Boys" and tourist alike. It takes you on a newly built dock and walk way around and down to Shem Creek. The up close and personal view of the shrimp boats and their catch makes it all worth while.

On a recent fishing trip to Shem Creek we had some spare time prior to dinner. Our group decided to take a walk along the creek. There were some threatening rain clouds in the horizon which made the marsh grasses a lovely shade of green. There are signs along the walkway educating visitors on the environment and the Shrimp boats.... More

We didn't have the change to walk the boardwalk (over 2000 feet) because I blinked and a sunny day turned into and windy rainy day. We heard a clap of thunder and turned around to see very dark clouds moving in. We didn't want to be stuck on the boardwalk with lightning so we just looked down the boardwalk and... More

What a beautiful walk, and gorgeous view! A perfect place to take a little walk after dining at one of the many restaurants on Shem Creek. Just stroll along, and watch the shrimp boats, and watch for Dolphins. There are several informational signs to read along the way, too.

This is my favorite place to go every year when I come to South Carolina. So many restaurants and things to do. If you go Kyaking on Shem creek. Go when shrimp boats come in. Dolphins and wildlife galore when ships come in. Shem creek is my favorite place to go.
