Wonderful walking pier

Shem Creek Park is a nice well kept pier that connects to a pier next to the restaurants. We walked out to the end after dinner. Very nice and flat.

Not sure what my expectations were, but this is not your typical "park". This marshlands park is incredibly beautiful, especially at sunset. Such a nice place to go for a walk.

Limited parking but usually not a problem during the week. Board walk along the marsh and Shem Creek that can be used for strolling or fishing. Can catch views of all types of sea birds, dolphins, paddle boarders, kayakers, boats and trawlers. Views of Charleston & Fort Sumter. Wide selection of fine restaurants in the immediate area can be accessed... More

There are covered areas to relax and take in Shem Creek's beautiful views. There are also areas perfect for flounder fishing at the end of the covered pier. Awesome place to watch shrimp boats go out and come in at dusk.

The park is a nice community addition to Mount Pleasant - however parking is still an issue. We recommend coming on a weekday for the easiest parking experience. You can also bring your boat to the public mooring along the dock and visit nearby restaurants and shops.

We went directly to the area where the restaurants, bars and boats are.. It was spectacular, a huge variety of birds, great views, the river, the marsh, fishing and shrimps boats, all together, definitely a wonderful place for photographers! Plus, you can to do kayak or paddle and see the dolphins swimming next to you, 2 meters away!! It was... More

Shem Creek Marsh offers a great boardwalk the marsh. Especially good in the evening. The restaurants across the river are OK but I would recommend the restaurant over at Patriot's Point.

I came down to Mt Pleasant to visit my folks from Asheville. After doing the beach a couple of times and waiting in line at Bowens Island I was craving a time filler for a few afternoon hours. This park was perfect. It is a boardwalk over the marsh with historical and wildlife info signs. The boardwalk continues to Shem... More
