Must second all positive comments about our guide, Cliff. Though the tour does not take in Charleston, you do get a great perspective on the city plus recommendations plus the history and of Mt. Pleasant and surrounding areas. Great way to spend an afternoon.

My friends and I took the 2 hour historic district tour and it was very good. We really enjoyed our tour guide (Legare) as he was SO knowledge and knew all the history of the area. He was super flexible and gave us options on going on extra "stops" and we had some great photo ops too! Legare spent a solid two hours on our tour once we were on the Segways and ready to ride. I definitely do recommend this tour and the only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the Segways were very old and honestly could use some work sprucing them up.

Cliff was an Amazing tour guide! We gained alot of historical knowledge. We highly recommend The 2 hour tour; if visiting in the summer go on a morning tour. Definitely gets warm as the day goes on.

Our tour guide was Cliff. Started the tour with no restroom availability and told nearest was 150 ft. Then guide was rude and said he expected us to drive to restroom, which was not what he said to begin with at all, we should have left then. Tour was more of a real estate driven, boring price bragging speech. Very little history, very little customer service like offering to take photos of couples or picture perfect spots or hey even water or allowing us to bring our own water. We have been on segways 3 other times and enjoyed all other tours immensely but this one. The pictures on website look great but really only saw a handful of these sites on the 2 hr tour. The waterfront was seen from a closed restaurant and never once drove by it or near as promised. Guide turned in front of a car who decided not to turn then changed their mind. Never a good idea when tourists are in area to begin with as safety should be foremost for entire group. Should never expect a segway to compete for right of way with a person in a car unsure of where their turn is to begin with. Really a bummer tour and total waste for experienced travelers. Never saw any beautiful sites or was treated like a valuable resource. Could tell the guide was put out by being there and really pushing real estate. So many better places to spend your hard earned money without a sales pitch and hard core tip mongers.

Segway tours are fun but this one had too much standing around with a guy talking too much. He just kept going on and on. He knew quite a bit which was enjoyable but after a while it was just boring. Not enough touring around and the one part that was super interesting was the little village and we whipped right through that. No break which makes your legs get a little tired.

My husband and I booked a tour for 2pm but were able to go earlier at 11 am which was much cooler. Our guide was great. Not only did he know historical facts but also gave us interesting fun facts about the current day residents. We saw some beautiful old homes, visited Shem's creek and an old time pharmacy and soda shop. We had a great time. Our guide was very patient and laid back. Would definitely recommend.

Cliff was great. Tour was of nice homes in Mt. Pleasant. No ear pieces like the three prior Segway tours that we took in other cities so Cliff had to stop every few feet to tell us what we were passing, mostly nice homes, overpriced homes, a little of the water. I read the website again after and it talks all about seeing "the village", and yes, I missed the disclaimer when I paid that it was for a tour of Mt Pleasant, not Charleston, but the website is not clear on this. It was fun and Cliff was nice, but a waste of an afternoon. Also, only 3 Segways worked, so my friend's wife shopped while we did Segways. She was on the fence but could have been talked into it if they had told me that a 4th one was fixed and that she could have joined me.

We booked a segway tour only one day in advance for 10 am. That morning, temps were in the low 40s! Our guide, Cliff, texted me to say we were his only tour that day, so if we wanted to push the time to later in the day when it would be warmer, we could. That was so awesome since he technically could've canceled. The website did say that if the minimum tour group size was not met, the tour could be canceled. We rescheduled for noon, and my husband and I got a private tour! So much fun! Cliff was patient while re-training us on operating the segways (we have taken 3 other tours over the years). I learned a few new tricks, which definitely helped! We signed up for the two hour tour, so we went throughout the Old Village and town of Mt Pleasant. Cliff was a great guide. Stopped at so many picturesque places while learning lots of things about Charleston. The stops are primarily the homes in the area, many of which have historical significance. I love looking at old homes and was quite impressed. My husband was most impressed with all he learned about the town. We were so glad we got to take this tour. Cliff was great, and riding the segways was so fun!

My self and 3 family members decided to try this tour..Only one of us had ever been on a segway..Our instructor and guide was the owner..His name was Legare..He was awesome..He took plenty of time with us in training to make sure we understood everything and that we were comfortable in riding. He was very thourough ..After trai we were off on out tour..It was absolutely beautiful and he was so informative and took his time showing us the sights and explaining the history..He was very kind..I am handicapped and when I felt like i needed to step off for a break he helped me down and let me have however long i needed..He also let us visit a historical pharmacy in town..I was so happy with him and this tour..I would very highly recommend Legare to anyone!!

Our first time doing a Segway tour. It was easy to learn and was a great way to cover a lot of ground. Cliff was a great guide - engaging, informative, kept the pace well for our group including appropriate stops. We enjoyed the behind the scenes views and learnings, and really appreciated the local tips shared by Cliff.
