The Pitt Street Bridge is one of the few attractions around Charleston that is free. It is a marsh walk leading to the bridge that over looks the ICW and Charleston harbor. Nice relaxing afternoon activity if it is not too crowded.

I went to see this bridge in the heart of historic Mt. Pleasant and the day turned out to be beautiful. The walk on the bridge was very pleasant. Upon leaving I drove through the historic part of Mt. Pleasant and it reminded me of...More

At the end of Pitt Street in the Old Town part of Mount Pleasant lies the remainder of an old bridge to Sullivans Island. The old bridge has been turned into a lovely park and fishing pier in Cove Inlet. What a great spot to...More

Looking for something else to do in Mt. Pleasant, we discovered an historic district of old homes leading to this pedestrian bridge. I guess we had always assumed that Mt/ Pleasant was just a suburban town, but we spent a while driving through "old town"...More

Great to view as you drive over and even better when you and the family walk over the bridge. From the top you can view Patriots Point and the taller buildings in old down town.

Hey and good morning. The Pitt Street Bridge has been a big part of my life since I was a child. Fishing off of it when it was nothing more than cement pilings and a small walkway was how I spent many a summer morning. My mother and father's ashes were scattered in the tidal creek there. My fiancée and I are planning to get married there on December 31st. I think I remember some guidelines when it comes to occasions like this happening there. 25 guests max, correct? Anything else we should know?

Sorry, can't help. Tourist. Congrats!
Where does this Bridge take you? How far is it from The Quality Inn in Mt Pleasant? Can you take it from Mt Pleasant to Sullivan Beach?
