Ths was an unexpected find and it was free. The staff in the visitor center were most helpful and the swet lady making sweet grass baskets was delightful! Great place for children and adults. Would be very pretty at night.

Kathy, the park is wheel chair friendly. It is located underneath the Ravenel Bridge and there are no stairs to maneuver. A walking pier, and park along the Cooper River. There are hotels at Patriot's Point, next door and hotels at the foot of the bridge, just to the North. I know there is a Holiday Inn Express, Red Roof in. Just google Hotels-Mt. Pleasant-on Johnny Dodds Blvd.
