HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ACTIVITY! Our sunset sail on The Shenanigan was booked on a whim while scrolling around Google Maps during a short stay in Charleston. It quickly became one of the best nights of our lives. Captain Jen and Captain Janet were top notch hosts, meeting every little needs from wine glasses, to serving platters to bluetooth speakers and more. And then got a little lucky with the perfect weather, the dolphins, the shooting star, and the fireworks on the horizon as we cruised home. This should definitely be on your list for your trip to SC.

What a way to spend my birthday! On a beautiful sailboat with two awesome , informative and fun loving Captains ( Jen & Janet) and our closest friends cruising in the Charleston Harbor, seeing the city landscapes, sailing next to dolphins, enjoying a colorful sunset while a full moon was coming into view !!! It was an epic experience and the best activity we did during our week in Charleston. Captain Jen & Captain Janet made us feel right at home and we felt like family from the minute we met at the dock. Thank you for a great birthday cruise.....we will definitely do it again next time we visit this charming Southern City.

I came here for a Bachelorette Party and was blown away by what was offered by our private charter around the Charleston area and Fort Sumter.
The Captain and Crew were extremely informative about the history of Charleston, had safety as their top priority, and encouraged us to make use of the many amenities on the boat.
The boat is also big enough where you get to witness a bridge closure to raise the drawbridge! To add to the excitement, we also saw some dolphins on our trip (not saying this is guaranteed every single time)!
Overall, I enjoyed the boat cruise and would encourage everyone to charter with Sundog Sailing. You have the chance to support a local business while having an option that's roughly halfway between the Charleston and Folly Beach Area.

We had a wonderful evening out on the water with Captain Jen and Captain Janet. We've chartered sailboat excursions in the past but this was one was unique and special. We booked a 3 hour charter that turned into a very relaxed 3-3/4 hour charter. Normally Captains race back to the dock when time is running out but not these captains....they seemed to be enjoying the evening as much as us and were in no hurry to get back to the marina. The Captains also understand that sailing means having the sails out for as much time as possible. No motor sounds or vibrations, no diesel fumes....just silence accompanied by a beautiful sunset. Our group of 4 had a wonderful time and highly recommend Sundog Sailing and Captains Jen and Janet.

Captains Jen & Janet provided a world class sailing experience. We felt at home! They provided a great balance of educating us on the area and sailing while allowing time to relax and enjoy the experience and sunset. The kids even had a scavenger hunt and got to participate in the process. Upon heading home from our long weekend the vote was unanimous - our favorite part of the trip was our sunset sail!

What an amazing trip. During our trip we witnessed a collision between two boats across the channel unrelated to our trip. Our Captains sprung into action radioing the Coast Guard with coordinates and descriptions. Their knowledge and attention to detail in handling this showed a commitment to safety that a father with a grandchild on board appreciated. True professional captains!

I had given up the google search on a Charleston harbor sail on the date we needed; my wife went to google search page 2(!?). In doing so she found, Sundog Sailing and more importantly Jen and Janet. These two amazing co-captains provided an experience that I can't imagine how it could possibly be rivaled. They were so kind to my family, to each other, and most importantly to our friends with whom we were sharing the diverse beauty of Charleston for their first time. Bridge openings, weather-dodging, Sumter, sailing lessons, swim call, and the battery were all experienced to maximal delight by all!

Took our family out to see Charleston from a different perspective. Well worth it!! Learned more about the area, listened to funny stories, feel like we made new friends. If you are going to Charleston, please take a few hours and make a great memory.

Absolutely amazing experience. The crew were very charismatic and such a delight to be around. The sailing experience was second to none. They are very knowledgable of the area and offered their expertise often. The boat was clean and comfortable! An absolute must do for your trip to Charleston. You will not regret it!
