This is the second time we have visited Hickory Knob State Park “campground”. After the first bad experience I gave them the benefit of the doubt and returned a year later, never again. To get straight to the point the campground is a crappy mud...More
Very clean park grounds and facilities. Nice pool, playground and lake access for swimming. Have several types of recreational equipment to rent or use. Stayed in a lakefront lodge room that was very nice. Had a balcony. Park has a restaurant,
The Rangers and front desk staff are amazing. They have been more than accommodating for our family. We highly recommend staying here. The restaurant was delicious and the amenities are awesome . The pool, hiking trails and fishing were great. We will definitely be back...More

We stayed in a cabin so I don't know anything about the campground but the roads are paved 2 lanes and I never saw anything that I would call steep in the park, incline might just mean going up a small hill. A simple call to the park would answer the part about a motor home and tent on 1 site. It is a really nice park but then most State Parks are.
