We had grandkids visiting us at the campground. Our campsite was right on the lake so that was convenient for the kids to fish. We hiked and did some geocaching and they enjoyed that. This park is not as remote as some so we were...More

This SC state park is a great history location. Learning more about Andrew Jackson is a great opportunity for young people to visit. The museum is well maintained and tells of the life of Jackson. There is a nature hike of about 1 mile, easy...More

A very average park. Level trails and a trail around a small lake. Campsites available. There are no interesting sites, just a few old structures, some wooded trails. It’s very hot in summer.

Just took a short camping trip this weekend. I’ve never been so bored at a park. Not much to do except take the 2 short hikes. Lake is full sun, so no shade to pull one of the metal jon boats into if you want...More

Nice park lots to see and do. Our campsite was NOT level so prepare yourself. Our site was number 4. See pics of how we had to level our pull behind. Very tight curves within campground ... not for beginner driving their camper in especially...More

We had a reservation we made online through reserveamerica as we have many other times for other campgrounds. We drove into the park and passed by the day visitor "check-in". We followed the direction sign towards the campground, driving through looking for the site number...More

Andrew Jackson only allows 14 days. Cane Creek in Union County NC, is about t2 miles from AJ and they do have numerous long term slots.
