I have been going to this beach access since I was a kid. We bring all of our family here when they visit. All the way from California they love this spot! Umbrellas and chairs are reasonable and showers are clean! The best snack bar ever! Beautiful beach and awesome workers! If you come to Charleston to go to the... More

Loved this calm, sandy, picture perfect beach. There were no rocks, flat beach. Too difficult to describe this piece of heaven but was absolutely awesome, can't wait to go back. The trip to get to this beach was picturesque with spanish moss clinging to trees canopying the streets. Was so beautiful just to get there, takes ones breath away. My... More

Awesome beach. Not crowded and not annoying bugs. Beach was very clean. Dogs are welcome as long as they remain on leash. Beach does shrink when tide comes in, other then that i totally recommend this spot.

Uncrowded, and has nice waves to play in. There are clean restrooms and showers to rinse off after a swim.

Low key, no nonsense clean warm water family friendly beach. Even at peak time (weekend on breezy sunny afternoon) it does not feel crowded. Entrance $8-10 per car. Umbrella $10. Great showers and change area. Highly recommended.

This beach is perfect for those of us who don't like crowded beaches. It has everything for enjoying a day at the beach: - restroom facilities - shower heads - concession machines with snacks - lifeguard - boardwalk entrance to the sand - beautiful, calm beaches We saw mostly families with children and pets. This is one of Charleston's best... More

Just a few short miles from our house is the best beach in the Low Country and one of the best in the world!! Spent the day out there today and am going again tomorrow. Perfectly flat beach almost a mile wide at low tide. Great for walking and sunning. The park has plenty of parking ($8.00 per car) and... More

Definitely a family beach it has parking showers restroom snack bar gift shop& a Boardwalk to the beach. Much more hardback sand than folly, less crowded than Isle of Palms...lots of kiddie puddles.. this is the county park where you can go and be there from sunup to sundown.

During our four-day trip to Charleston we knew we would do at least one beach day--and chose Beachwalker Park on Kiawah Island based on the reviews here. We enjoyed the beach so much that we ended up returning a second time. The beach itself is long and low, with lots of shallow water that is great for the small ones.... More
