This beach is perfect for those of us who don't like crowded beaches. It has everything for enjoying a day at the beach: - restroom facilities - shower heads - concession machines with snacks - lifeguard - boardwalk entrance to the sand - beautiful, calm beaches We saw mostly families with children and pets. This is one of Charleston's best... More

Just a few short miles from our house is the best beach in the Low Country and one of the best in the world!! Spent the day out there today and am going again tomorrow. Perfectly flat beach almost a mile wide at low tide. Great for walking and sunning. The park has plenty of parking ($8.00 per car) and... More

Definitely a family beach it has parking showers restroom snack bar gift shop& a Boardwalk to the beach. Much more hardback sand than folly, less crowded than Isle of Palms...lots of kiddie puddles.. this is the county park where you can go and be there from sunup to sundown.

During our four-day trip to Charleston we knew we would do at least one beach day--and chose Beachwalker Park on Kiawah Island based on the reviews here. We enjoyed the beach so much that we ended up returning a second time. The beach itself is long and low, with lots of shallow water that is great for the small ones.... More

We have been to a ton of beaches in the past few years but beachwalker park is still one of the best. It has facilities, a snack stand and umbrellas and chairs to rent. It is extremely clean, has lifeguards and once you are to the beach you can stay with the crowd or walk about 1/4 - 1/2 mile... More

Traveled to the Charleston area and was recommended Kiawah Beachwalker Beach. It was a perfect visit. Dogs are allowed on the beach, on a leach, which allowed the both of us to enjoy a little time in the ocean. I went at 9am (when they opened) and had no issues with crowds. It was a clean beach with a really... More

Stopped here while visiting family on Johns Island. Another great find! Uncrowded wide sand beach with warm water & a guarded area, small changing & restrooms, outdoor showers and a snack bar. And, you could walk along the beach for a good distance to the south.

Beautiful, winding drive under oaks and over salt marshes. General store with gas station is on the same road. Bathrooms and showers on site- not immaculate, but better than local beaches with no options. Just $8 to park. For those that work at Charleston destinations, it's a county park, so they accept the reciprocity pass. This beach also has lifeguards... More
