This is the nearest convenient shopping area for local visitors and residents of Kiawah Island. Here you'll find your favorite bars and restaurants, bike and kayak rentals, souvenir shops, nail salon, gas station and unique craft stores. It sits right outside the main gate into Kiawah Island but offers free parking with easy access to John's Island another local hot... More

Freshfields is betwixt Kiawah and Seabrook and offers about the most convenient, if not only, shopping and dining venue nearby. Most of the restaurants are pretty good, a few just average. The Harris Teeter is the only grocery store within miles...so it can get crowded and busy...put patience on your shopping list.

Found a terrific book store at Freshfields Village - Indigo Books. Well stocked independent bookstore full of books for travelers, children, leisure reading, history, biography, etc. Great selection of cards. Wonderful and helpful staff.

Loved this cute village. You won't find any chain restaurants here which is a plus. Nice shops around the area, big lawn in the middle of the square with flowers where my kids played around doing cart wheels and running around. We all enjoyed the shops and meat and cheese plates from a near by wine bar. Very Very relaxing.

Had fun perusing the wonderful array of shops and eateries at Freshfields, as well as their movie night every week and their weekly farmers market right on the square. What a great place to eat, relax and shop. I'll be back!

A great village feel. The market is great for take out and food shopping. The Village Pharmacy has a fun old fashioned soda fountain and postcards from Kiawah. My Dad was a pharmacist, so we enjoyed this. Indigo Book Store has the very "best" staff to help you pick out great reads and has wonderful cards. All kinds of clothing... More
