We decided to stop here on our way out of Charleston and driving to Savannah, and I'm glad we did! The Angel Oak was better than we expected, and free to see. We stopped in the gift shop, and in the screened porch were w...More

For a free event, this is an amazing site. Rarely will you ever see a tree like this one. I'd even pay a small admission to see this. Don't even think of missing this freebie.

It's a tree, don't expect anything else. One branch has 11' circumference. Interesting if you're in the area.

This live oak is unbelievable! Huge and magnificent. Small gift shop. Picnic tables. Porta-potties. Free parking. Off the beaten path, but definitely a must see when you are in the area.

That's quite a tree; very spread out and interesting to see up close, plus it's a great chance for photo ops. Also, the tree located in cute little park in an otherwise pretty part of the country. However, they sell this thing as four hundred...More

It is just a tree but a beautiful tree at that. Many people were there to take pictures and look at the grounds. It closes at 5 and the tree is behind a gate. Must be there before. I recommend to any nature lovers!

I have never seen anything like it. It's huge !! In spots there are boards holding up the branches. It's a great short stop . We were in charleston and drove to see it not disappointed at all.

This is one big tree. Be sure to bring some cash to make a donation. Is a location that is supported by a non-profit, not state or federally supported. Give yourself a half an hour for this. Parking is limited.

Yes....Yes....Yes....it is a tree. That is what I thought too. But once you get there and see it in person it is aw-inspiring! This tree is MASSIVE. Great photo opportunities and it is free to visit!

It is a beautiful site! Very simple though..... a few signs to read about the history, details of the tree, and some picnic style tables, that would be great for lunch or a snack. Seeing the tree, and taking photos is... More
