Very nice public beach with changing rooms, showers, boardwalk, and pier. Lots of people enjoying the day with their dogs too. Our teenagers had never seen an ocean and this was a great experience for them. We visited on Saturday November 26th. It was very breezy but relatively warm to us as it was in mid 60's. We all got... Near Ocean View condos and the pier, this nice little park is great for kids with jungle gyms and four changing stalls. Plenty of showers to wash the sand off when you come from the beach. Just big, with several nice access ways to the beach and plenty of parking! Enjoy!

Staying in Mt.Pleasant for 4 days. 3 things I want to check out is 1. Charleston Downtown 2. Beaches around the area 3. Plantations. We were closer to Isle of Palms vs Folley Beach and read several reviews of both. Decided IOP beach. Glad we did ,we were only 4 miles away from our hotel and it have free parking... More

On a one-day visit when usually next door at Sea Cabins, came to the Park. A lovely lady, wish I could remember her name, welcomed us. The facilities were clean and comfortable.

We walked to the beach and it was refreshing and wonderful. We rescued a star fish that was hung up ow hike the tide was going out, also saw horseshoe crabs laying around. They were dead. Watch a cargo ship coming in and lots of kids playing. Just a great morning

Love this park due to it's proximity to the beach and Mount Pleasant, my kids love to play soccer here and we have even attended a few birthday parties here

Visiting at the end of September was a great time because tourist season was over, but it was a beautiful day and there was plenty of parking. The beach wasn't crowded at all, but had friends, couples bicycling and parents and children playing near the water. It's very family and pet friendly. I would definitely visit again!

I don't know if we just went on the wrong day!!! When we asked a local what to do about the flies he said "Leave!" It was an absolute shame because this is a full amenity county park with showers and bathrooms and a playground and picnic tables... there's even a wheelchair ramp!!! We set up our little tent for... Best beach in area. Arrive early (9am) and get a meter for reasonable price. Public restroom with shower and changing area. Limited restaurants so plan accordingly.
