Isle of Palms Beach Chair Company offers full service beach chair and umbrella rentals. IOP Beach Chair provides free daily setup and pickup of your beach chairs and umbrellas directly behind your vacation house or condo. We understand the hassles of lugging all your beach gear to and from the beach daily, so we do it for you! All you have to do is sit down, lean back, and relax. Call us to reserve! We, also, offer bicycle rentals, Paddle Boards, Surf Boards, Beach Wheel Chairs, beach bags, backpack chairs, oversized beach towels, sun tan lotions, and more. Look for the turtle at our IOP Beach Gear store.

We used this company after a local cheaper option - Chunky’s, there I’ve named them - failed to return our calls. These guys were great, all arranged online and umbrella and chairs were there for us by 8am. Comfortable chairs and a big enough brolly to give us both shade. Very efficient.

We use this company every year for our annual beach vacation, and they are awesome! They always set up the umbrellas and chairs early, and everything is always nice and clean. It's so convenient, and we all love having some shade during our long days on the beach. They also sometimes reward loyal customers with discounts.

Such a great experience to book my chairs and umbrella online! I did so after 11am and my setup was ready by the time I walked on the beach (less than 20 min). The young gentleman working on the ground in the hot weather was friendly and excellent. I really appreciated his help setting my things up. Also, had a billing question and Hunter was very helpful to resolve it. Will definitely use them again at IOP.

Today is day 6 of a 6-day rental of umbrellas and chairs, at the 25th Ave access point.
Every day, the umbrellas/chairs were set out about 50 feet further from the water than would have been nice (and still would have left room to keep the umbrellas/chairs safe from high tide).
Worse, every one of the 6 days there were 4-5 other groups of umbrellas/chairs also set out by this company at the same access point — with typically with no more than 6-8 feet separating the groups, all in one long line.
4 of the 6 days, one of these groups immediately next to us played music out of a bluetooth speaker, which was impossible to ignore because of the speaker volume and the speaker being so close. And, 2 of the 6 days, the group immediately next to us on the up-wind side had multiple people smoking.
The beach hasn't been at all crowded, especially on the weekdays; there's been plenty of empty space. Made no sense for the company to jam all their customers at the same access point right on top of each other. Turned what would have otherwise been a great week at the beach into a less than desirable experience.
Won't rent from this company again; there are alternatives.

This company will set all of their chairs and umbrellas up in front of your already set up tents/chairs/umbrellas!!! Our family set up at 6:30 this morning and shortly after the IOP Beach Chair company set their beach chairs and umbrellas in front of our already set up tent/chairs. They have blocked our view and don’t care one bit about it. This is so incredibly rude!!!

Couldn’t find our chairs and umbrella on first day rental. Requested help locating. She said they would call back and help locate our chairs after standing in the sun for an hour and a half waiting we left. No call back, no chairs 1st day. On second day chairs were loaded up for the day just after 6pm, not at sunset as they claim. So evening relaxation at the beach was spent on a towel. As I was with my disabled granddaughter who has brittle diabetes type 1 and a GTube, this made things difficult for us especially her. Unacceptable! Will never rent from them again! Bring your own chair and umbrella, we will next time!

The reason that only 4 of 5, is that we were unable to get chairs the day we wanted. No same day rentals, although it was early morning. So we only got a one day rental Kennedy was pleasant on the phone. The chairs were set up before the time stated and the young fellow was so nice and personable.(He let us pick our spot). He was a hard worker. This was the first time we rented chairs and beach umbrella and it was worth every penny! They were set up right out front our hotel walkway to the beach.

The ease of ordering online was most beneficial and my order of chairs and umbrella was set up in a great location. The chairs and umbrella were also in good shape. The next day, I needed an additional umbrella and the response was terrific! Will definitely use again and again.

Too busy to set up. Chuckeys has chairs set up by 6:30 am....9:18 am...still waiting. Called customer service and they were not helpful...only stayed we have until 9:30 am to set up. Will use Chuckys next year.

Chairs are perfect for rental, however the system for finding and getting your chair is not great. They use name tags and it seems that beachgoers just take rented chairs and remove the tags so you don’t actually know which one is yours. They really should have an attendant monitoring and checking you in for your rental. We ended taking someone else’s chairs because we couldn’t find ours. Called the office for help and they said someone would come to assist, but no one ever did. I think with a better process it would be wonderful.

If I am just visiting the beach for a few hours (driving only not staying overnight) where would I need to pick the rentals up?

They delivered the chairs and umbrellas to us. I have no idea if you can pick them up. You’ll need to check their website for that.

We have updated other items (such as adding SUP and beach wheel chairs). Unfortunately, we are unable to do the chairs with cushions because we have to set up and take down everyday with carts and trucks. Most places that offer these items store their inventory on a hut in the beach. Since we cannot do this here, our logistics won't let us use those chairs because they don't store easily. I'm sorry we can't help you with these items!
