We left Harbour Town dock next to the lighthouse in Hilton Head for an up front view of the low country. Upon coming aboard we all got our photos taken and on the return trip we were offered a very nice folder frame with our photo and a photo of the Hilton Head Lighthouse for $12. There was an enclosed heated deck with cash bar and an open but covered upper deck. The captain invited people to join him in the wheel house, very limited seating. The trip was a little less than two hours and docked at River Street, Savannah. A Bus tour of historic Savannah was offered while aboard the boat. We enjoyed the almost four hour round trip but next time would probably drive to save time.

Easy to book, easy to find and a pleasurable overall experience. As we were leaving the dock, the captain took us out to get a close up view of dolphins, which was an unexpected surprise. Overcast skies led to a cool, relaxing boat ride with incredible views. Parking at Harbour Town is a challenge, we took advantage of the Valet parking and it was worth every cent of the $10. The boat docked alittle after 10 PM and the valet was there with keys in hand for all passengers. He was very efficient, highly recommend.

We had never been to Savannah and thought this would be a fun and easy way to see the city and we were right :) We were visiting Hilton Head during the golf tournament week because that was my spring break. That made it a little more challenging but the representative from Vagabond gave us excellent directions on where to park and pick up the shuttle bus. Just be aware if you ever go this week there’s a line to catch the shuttle bus back to your car. The boat ride over was relaxing - drinks and snacks are available for purchase. They sell discounted trolley tickets right on the boat and an empty trolley was waiting - easy! Looking back we would have gotten off at more than one trolley stop because we had enough time but we weren’t sure. The trolley was a great way to see the sights in Savannah. Lots of shops and restaurants right where the boat unloads and loads so we ate lunch, shopped, and relaxed by the water before heading back to Hilton Head.

We had a terrible experience with this booking and Vagabond tours. Firstly, it is located in an area where parking is $9, which is fine but the entry personnel don’t accept any payment method but cash and are extremely rude. When we managed to get to the harbour just in time for our cruise, we were told it was canceled because of the weather. No communication was shared earlier despite the booking clearly saying we would be updated of any changes in schedule over email. When we probed further, we were told that it was a last minute cancellation as the agency didn’t think it was good weather for the waters. Admittedly, it was slightly overcast but we saw other tours departing at the same time, in the same conditions. Overall awful experience and a completely wasted evening for us. Our money was refunded but definitely wouldn’t recommend this booking to anyone!

We took the sunset sail on sail boat Stars and Stripes. It was very relaxing and beautiful out on the water. What was missing in my opinion was an introduction of sorts to the boat itself and a bit of narration about what we were sailing around, maybe with a bit of local history added. Crew was very nice.
Parking in Sea Pines resort is, as noted in the email you get after reserving, quite tight and costs $9.00 cash to get thru the Sea Pines resort gates. it took us a few laps around the lots to find a spot.

The Sunset sail on the Stars and Stripes yacht was a lot of fun. There was a decent amount of wind for Captain Chuck to get the yacht slicing through the sound for most of the cruise and making it more exciting as the wind would gust. Some were allowed to man the helm briefly while others volunteered to raise and then lower the sails at the end. It was beautiful and fun!

We booked this cruise to hear music from the HH famous Gregg Russell. It was a total of 90 minute cruise. The first 45 minutes we looked for dolphins. He then called all the kids to the top deck for the main event!! He played two songs on the top deck and talked about the importance of environmental care, lasting about 10 minutes. He then told them about a haunted light house that the boat went by on our way back to dock. We were all very disappointed by our experience. The online description details something VERY different than what was delivered! My five year olds comment afterwards sums it up well..."That was so lame. I would rate it a zero out of ten."

I did the Vagabond stars & stripes sunset sail. Im really split on this. First, if you are looking for a relaxing sail, this is NOT it. People familiar with sailing may know how much the boat pitches but i did not. Second, we left late because of weather, go out into the water and hit a storm. 15 minutes of craziness happened after that then long story short, we went back into Port. Total 55 minutes of a 2 hour sail. I think I wouldve rather them cancel so I could reschedule then charge full price for half the time. I will say, the staff was awesome, super knowledgeable, friendly and fun. Even during the chaotic moment, those of us on board made the best of it and had fun. I really wish I could've got the full 2 hour experience as I've been looking forward to this all trip.

We went on the Dolphin Sunset Cruise on October 6, 2021. It was a rainy day, so the fact that we saw both dolphins and a sunset speaks volumes for the willingness of the team to cruise around, rain or shine, until we found our dolphin friends. Captain Justin may not have been responsible for the eventual sunset, but it sure seemed like it was cooperating for him. The Captain was great! He was really knowledgeable and kept up a running commentary about what we were seeing and where we were. He was very entertaining. The mate, Mason, was really lovely and kept all of us supplied with snacks and drinks while we dolphin watched. There were plenty of spaces to stand out of the rain and still be out in the open air to enjoy the cruise. Despite the constant (sometimes heavy) rain, it was a really lovely cruise. I highly recommend!

Once again, our family enjoyed a great private outing with the Vagabond team. After renting Stars & Stripes for 4th of July fireworks last summer, we opted for a 2-hour cocktail cruise on Mystique this year. Everyone loved the classic wooden boat, which had comfortable seating, room to move about and mingle, and a partial roof to protect us when rain popped up in the middle of the trip. Kudos to Vagabond for another great experience!
