We loved this tour and Captain Pete was an excellent guide. We enjoyed the rich history and informative stops. We booked through the Coastal Discovery Museum and chose this excursion because of the content and price. The price includes narrated boat trip over and guided tour by golf cart. The boat is comfortable, small and open. Sunglasses recommended to protect your eyes from the wind, so you can keep your head up and enjoy all around on the trip over. In cooler weather, a hoodie also helps with the breezes. The only thing we would have liked to have seen, but did not, was the Daufuskie Island Rum Distillery. You can get to Daufuskie by boat with other companies for less, but once you get there you are on your own and must rent your own golf cart which makes the cost higher than Outside tours.

Fantastic Family Ski Day

Bright and early is usually tough with teens, but we efficiently checked in at 7:45 a.m. and met our guide Hunter, a friendly, enthusiastic and fun guide. Hunter made the trip about our comfort level, sharing the safest and best ways for my thirteen year old to tackle knee-boarding; he was so patient talking her through it before she got in the water and while she was in the water. He got her excited get it down and enjoyed the fails and successes. We all then decided to tube and it was beyond fun. If we wanted to go faster, he safely went faster and when some wanted slower, he did the same. Will request Hunter for all future tours as he made the trip social, safe and fun. Bonus was the dolphin sightings and his respect and knowledge of the beautiful creatures! Thanks Hunter.

Gorgeous morning fishing!

We had an amazing trip with Captain Brad! We took a boat out fishing and caught both a 4.5 foot black tip shark and 80 lb sting ray! All released of course.

Captain Brad was fantastic sharing some of the history of the island and teaching us about how to fish, how to catch bait and other fun things.

We even interacted with dolphins who followed the boat and watched them jump from the water in play - evidently a rare sight!

A beautiful morning of fishing! We had 2 people on the boat. I don't recommend the max capacity though. 6 people for this trip would have been very tight on this particular boat. Just something to consider. Overall, great trip!

Great kayak experience

We booked a 2 hour kayak tour of the Broad creek Wildlife area. 'Outside Hilton Head' appears to be a well-organized business; the registration, check in, and orientation was handled in an efficient and friendly manner. Our guide on the tour, Alexa, was quite knowledgeable in biology and environmental science and provided lots of interesting information during our kayak tour. We all enjoyed the outing!

Why didn't we do this sooner?!?!

We chartered a boat for 5 hours for some water sports fun and other adventures on Page Island. Captain Pippi was the perfect host for our adventure! She was incredibly knowledgeable about the marsh wildlife, giving us closer looks at what we were seeing, and also narrating a bit of history on our journey to Page Island (which this history buff LOVED). The dock-jumping, tubing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and hammocking were perfect for our family of high schoolers, college students, and their friends. We've already begun to think ahead to do this again when we're here next summer (with Captain Pippi, of course)!

Amazing Experience!

We rented a private charter for 9 our family/friends that left at 3:30 for two hours. We had the BEST trip ever on a boat. We saw a lot of birds, dolphins. a beautiful sunset, explored the lowcountry, saw the Harbour Town & Daufuskie Island light houses. Our Captain Pippi was incredible. She made our trip exceptional with her knowledge and storytelling. She was very personable, entertaining, knew the area well and shared so much interesting information with us. We had a blast with Pippi - an experience our family will never forget!!!!

Easy, affordable, legit

After many failed attempts at booking a last minute fishing guide in Hilton Head, I found out about Outside from my wife. We planned on renting kayaks from them but after visiting the shop I realized just how legit of an outdoors operation it is. I got on their website and found an affordable guided kayak fishing trip that met all my needs. I was able to book it only 4 days in advance and ended up being the only person for that morning so I had a private guide. The guide and I had a lot in common and I couldn’t think of a better match. We fished in the tall grass salt marshes of Broad Creek for Redfish. After a few hours of hitting different spots he was able to get me on two large Redfish in one of the last spots of the morning. We caught 4 beautiful, massive Redfish between the two of us and the trip couldn’t have gone any better. Thanks for making the process so simple, affordable but incredibly memorable Outside Hilton Head! I never write online reviews so I guess this means something!

Great social distancing family fun!

We booked a private family ski day with Outside Hilton Head and it was fantastic! We choose a 4 hour trip, you could choose 3,4 or 5 hour duration, (you can have up to 6 people in your party). We were met by our Captain, JC, and taken on to a super clean boat outfitted with everything to enjoy our time on the water. We had an awesome 2 person tube, knee board and water skis and a wakeboard ( which we did not attempt). Our captain was wonderful with our 6 & 8 year old grandkids. JC was knowledgeable about the area and had a great personality. His boat handling skills and ability to read what his clients wanted were spot on. I almost forgot about the current pandemic. Our family felt safe, and being outside on the water was just what we needed. Our family highly recommends this activity for any age and ability.

We went there under the assumption that we were going on a dolphin tour, but when we called they said captain grant would be there . But he never showed up and they couldn't track him. Do not book with them plus it says that it can take 30 days to get a refund its crazy

We did the Beachcombing trip yesterday and all I can say is WOW! This trip was a blast from beginning to end.. We started out with a 45 minute boat ride, stopping to see dolphins and learn about Hilton Head's rich ecosystem. We then arrived at Vanishing Island which was absolutely beautiful! The ocean had washed up hundreds of thousands of starfish on the sandbar - so cool! We had over an hour to walk the incredibly long beach, explore the surroundings and swim. It was great! Captain Dan made sure we all felt safe and he definitely made us laugh a ton. He was very knowledgable and told us great stories and information about the Atlantic bottlenosed dolphin.I would highly recommend this trip for families and friends alike! Thanks Outside!
