I have tried many fitness clubs!
A lot of them simply want your money. The others are only interested in the clicks that they can foster. Or, they nickel and dime you to death.
Odyssey is much different than that!
Odyssey is a family owned facility that also makes you feel like a part of their family!
Their facility is clean and has a wide array of machines.
The locker rooms are also clean and comfortable and offers saunas.
The trainers are not just going through the motions they truly become your friends!
The classes are top notch and a lot of them are included with your membership which is really nice.
If you were looking for a place to go while you’re visiting the island they offer daily and weekly passes and if you live on the island and you’re looking for a permanent gym, THIS IS IT!!

I have been a member for 2 years and this health club has been extremely pleasant and welcoming. Kevin and his parents are incredible owners and hosts and their staff/personal trainers are knowledgeable, friendly and will always make you feel like you are part of the team! Two thumbs up!

I visited odyssey health club while on vacation, it was the week post their reopening for COVID, gym was very clean, cleaning stations/hand sanitizer stations all over the gym, they were taking temperatures as you entered to ensure no one had a fever, the machines were spread out to meet the guidelines, the gym has everything you need to get a great workout in, dumbbells up to 100lb, plenty of plates for free weights, all the machines you need, very friendly staff, I would recommend for you to visit during your vacation or if you are a local!

We spend 2-3 weeks (several times per year) at our Hilton Head home. We have tried other fitness clubs on the island, but they were huge, noisy, & impersonal. Once we found Odyssey, we were more than pleased. The owners & staff are so kind & accommodating, the size is a bit more intimate without sacrificing equipment variety, and cost is more than fair. Highly recommend Odyssey!

After reading glowing reviews online, we checked out Odyssey the first week we arrived, hoping to find a nice gym for our extended stay. We received such a warm welcome and were thrilled to find an impressive array of equipment, interesting and varied class options, plenty of space, thoughtful amenities and an immaculately clean environment, so we joined on the spot. BEST decision possible!! Kevin Breedlove and his parents, John and Sally, went out of their way to answer questions and make sure we felt at home. For life-long gym rats like us, that set Odyssey apart from the competition.
The atmosphere is fun and friendly with a lively mix of locals and visitors. All levels of fitness can find a place here. Serious athletes train happily alongside newbies who are just learning the ropes. Personal trainers are available and also teach classes (included in cost of membership) so you can get to know them and see if you want to take your training to the next level. Classes range from mat Pilates/Yoga to Golf Fit to foam rolling, boxing and Tai Chi. Plenty of cardio and strength-training machines mean no waiting around. Locker rooms are spotless and feature a single-seat sauna to restore tired muscles after a tough workout.
Having spent many years in many gyms, I can happily vouch for Odyssey as being a true oasis here in HHI. It starts with the owners, and Kevin Breedlove has truly put his heart into making this a top-notch gem of a gym.
