I recently played the Robert Trent Jones course with some buddies. I can't say enough about the customer service aspect of their operation. Once you pull you're greeted by a smiling face.. a young man named Jordan greeted us with a smile and directed us and help us get all our bags together. We went and check in. The golf... More

I was relatively new to golf, after taking a couple lessons and playing one season in Colorado, I wanted to continue learning and playing – hard to do in January in Colorado. I decided to visit Hilton Head and continue working on my golf game. A friend had mentioned an instructor – Doug Weaver, at Palmetto Dunes. However, when I... More

We just arrived back after a week at Palmetto Dunes, and I had the opportunity to work with Doug on 2 lessons. I found working with Doug was both informative and fun. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience playing and working with so many of golfs greatest players. I was a collegiate athlete and have always had a... More

We have been visiting HHI and Palmetto Dunes for a few years now. We love it there! We had the great fortune to meet Trish and Doug Weaver. Trish is a realtor and showed us properties and really went out of her way for us. We have not purchased yet but, will most likely in the next few years. Trish... More

First class golf course. We truly enjoyed our round. It's a tough track but fun anyway. There are some gorgeous homes along the course and you'll see the ocean on 9 and 10. Look for gators and flying fish in the many ponds and lagoons. Try to tee off early if you're here when it's hot.

Two years ago, my family and I had a family golf lesson with Doug. As we put into action what Doug taught, we put more fun into our golf and played much more as a family. We visited Hilton Head Island again this August (2016). So we looked up Doug Weaver and took more lessons. Now our 9-year old is... More

Played Fazio on morning of Sept. 3. Excellent course. Course was in great condition despite the Tropical Storm that blew through the night before. I was surprised how well the grounds crew cleared the course before our morning tee time. Fazio is challenging and fun. Will play again in near future.

This past week, it was my brother Richard's birthday and we played the Robert Trent Jones course. We were told that the course had been aerated the week before. It turned out that was a good thing as the "maintenance" rate saved us a good deal of money and yet the greens were in fine shape. The course is beautiful... More

Went to Trent Jones course looking for one last lesson before I quit golf for good after 27 years. Stumbled upon Doug's class for three hours on short game basics. Well worth your time to visit Doug. Golf doesn't have to be complicated. Went out shot 38 and before the class I could not play dead in a cowboy movie.... More

The course website states, "Non-player riders are welcome, but they must pay a nominal fee to do so." No price is listed on the site, but the price is $25. That price didn't fit in with my definition of nominal, so I looked it up to confirm. Macmillan's dictionary states, "A nominal amount of money is a very small amount which... More
