My wife and I spent a four day anniversary getaway in Greenville and visited River Falls twice. We each had a facial and hot stone massage. We have been to many spas in many cities over the years, so have a pretty good reference point for this review. We both agree without question that Sharon at River Falls performed the best facial that we have ever had. I have only had a few facials over time, but my wife has had more than I can count! Hands down....Sharon is outstanding and Rocks! We both also enjoyed our massages as well, but unfortunately did not record names of our masseuses. Both were very attentive and performed a very thorough massage. We will definitely visit River Falls next time we travel to Greenville!

Very nice experience. My sister-in-law and I treated ourselves to a one-hour massage. Easy to find in beautiful, downtown Greenville + easy parking. Recommend Whitney, the best massage I've ever had.

I'd planned on drafting a positive review of this spa but recent events have motivated me to do so sooner than later and to speak on more than the services they offer. I am a Greenville citizen, and in light of a recent death in my immediate family, my work colleagues purchased me a gift certificate for this spa. I was having a "down" weekend and I was going out on a limb getting out of the house for a massage. The venue is tucked away in an enchanting way and as soon as I entered Kathy at the desk made me feel like I was literally the only customer they had. I've been to more pricey spas that didn't even leave me feeling this way. Although my appointment was late in the day, I was treated like they had all the time in the world for me. They had a name tag on my locker with my name and a little graphic--it was comforting. My masseuse was Amy-she was my style and knew what she was doing. She went above and beyond. We talked about my neck issues, she answered questions I had on her take on different approaches to pain and treatment and exercises to help my problems. She spoke with me when I wanted to talk, but did not push it when I simply wanted silence. THAT is what I needed. We also talked about a rare form of psoriasis I had, and things I can do to help minimize flare ups. Whatever oil she used on me did not irritate my skin in any way...and I have extremely sensitive skin...I have to take prescription meds for my hormonal acne. My skin did not react at all to anything she used and I didn't even have to ask for anything special. I had been at my college earlier that day for a an honor ceremony and came directly to the spa afterward. As a result, I was wearing my best jewelry, which included jewelry that was not only expensive (~$3k total) but also had irreplaceable sentimental value in light of my recent loss. Amy asked me to remove my jewelry prior to the massage. I simply put it into the pocket of my spa robe. I had an excellent massage...and I mean excellent. Amy even took the time to demonstrate exercises to me that I should try moving forward to help alleviate my chronic neck pain. It was the end of the day on a Saturday and she got absolutely no financial benefit from doing so. I felt so welcome. Well...the absent mindedness resulting from my recent loss caused me to forget my jewelry in my spa robe. When I realized this the spa had closed for the night. I panicked. Long story short my mother contacted the police and the police contacted the key holder for the spa (Laura or Lauren cannot remember). Not only did this person respond THAT NIGHT, they went out to the spa, unlocked it, and searched multiple locations for my robe which contained my jewelry. They locked my jewelry safely and even called me this morning (Monday) to confirm that I'd authorized my mom to retrieve my jewelry for me. This is what I consider unparalleled top notch service. A family friend told me that she'd also left her phone there at one point and that she had no problem retrieving it. The services provided by River Falls Spa are stellar, but on top of that, the way I was treated speaks wonders to the type of people working there. I'm going through a challenging time in my life and the massage and the spa employees' reactions and attention to my jewelry seriously renewed my faith in humanity. Genuinely. Amy even called me back late Saturday night promising me that she would make sure my jewelry got to me. These are talented and good people. The treatments are worth the money. I am now a huge fan and will not visit any other spa in Greenville in lieu of River Falls Spa. No words can express how thankful I am. Don't hesitate to patronize this establishment.

I normally don’t post bad reviews but I just had to on this one because I’ve never encountered anything like this before with my history of massages. I scheduled a Table for Two massage service for myself & my husband. It was to be a surprise for my hubby. I took time off work & I had him rearrange his schedule for “birthday lunch plans”. Imagine my surprise when I was notified less than 2 hours before our massage service was to begin that it was cancelled because the masseuse called out. Disappointed doesn’t begin to cover how I feel & I wasn’t even given enough notice to book elsewhere. The irony is that if I’d cancelled on them less than 2 hours prior to the massage start time, I would’ve still been charged for the service. They cancelled & all I receive is “we’re so sorry”. I guess I’m appalled that a reputable place such as this doesn’t have any contingency plan when scheduling masseuses for massages. So I’ll say if you book here, you may want to have a backup plan or place available. Surely, they wouldn’t charge if you had to cancel because they didn’t hold themselves to the same standard in this case. Sharing is caring!!

I was so excited I found a spa....

I walked in and saw my favorite product line. I was excited!!!! I tried to talk to the lady sitting behind the counter and she seemed a bit snooty to me and would not let me look around. The lady’s tone, body language, unsmiling facial expressions and responses said it all. I asked for a brochure and she said she had none, that I could go online. There was not much more than that. She just seemed snooty to me. I don’t need them. They need customers. I have plenty of spas to choose from.
I was originally excited that I found the spa. I walked in and I asked questions. They had no brochure. The lady was snooty to me. They would not let me look around. And from the lady speaking to me, they didn’t even have any spa amenities except for one steam room. The woman did not even know the difference between a steam room and a sauna.
I’m sorry but I am allowed opinions and feelings.
I don’t spend hundreds of dollars unless I know I will enjoy a facility. If they have no time to show a potential guest because they are sitting at the front desk then ... we’ll, I guess they do not need my business. I will keep searching the area until I find one. I won’t let my readers down.

Julie, we welcome everyone with a smile at River Falls Spa. The conversation you shared with our Manager was happy, upbeat and from our limited time with you, very welcoming. You asked if you could wander through our Spa. We value our client's privacy and therefore we do not let people randomly wander through the Spa. This is of the utmost respect to our clients. This privacy is a value to our clients and the protection of their privacy is one of the many reasons people enjoy their visits to River Falls Spa. We have a complete listing of all of our services online and we happily discuss in person, on the phone, or through e-mail, any questions about our services. We do this to assist our clients in matching them with our premier services for their perfect spa experience. You have placed a very harsh rating on social media without ever having received a service at River Falls Spa, which is simply your opinion of our business… not based on facts and made with no merit at all. This is social bullying, and we are not sure what you are trying to gain by this ‘review.’ We have taken this ‘review’ to inspire us to work even harder to be who we are at River Falls Spa: the team and family that welcome our guests each and every day to receive the best spa experience possible!

I live here In Greenville and had two out of town guests visiting. I of course over the weekend wanted to show them the best of my hometown. Well River falls Spa did not disappoint. We were greeted with friendly smiles as we entered a very tranquil and peaceful setting. We all three had a different treatment; a body wrap, a body polish, and the signature facial. All three of us concurred about the level of knowledge and professionalism of the staff and personalized service. We loved it, It was a most relaxing and enjoyable day. Rather you live here, or just visiting Greenville, I would highly recommend!

This was our second visit to River Falls spa. We had 90-minute massages both times, but opted for the Table For Two the second time, which includes extra time after your massage for private jacuzzi, champagne, and chocolate covered strawberries. If you opt to indulge in this service, bring your swim suit.

The spa is located underground on Main Street. The reception area is nice and peaceful. The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. We were offered alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks upon arrival. We were escorted to the dressing rooms and shown around. The ladies' dressing room has showers and steam room. The couples' massage room is very large with private jacuzzi and bathroom. At check out, your name will be typed on a thank you card on the counter with an edible treat- nice touch!

First and most importantly, if you like deep tissue/sports massage, Cheryl is absolutely perfect for you. My fiancé had her on our first visit and couldn't stop bragging about her. Thankfully, she was my therapist on our second visit. I had the same experience. She told me she's been a therapist for 15 years and it is evident in her technique.

The one CON we experienced both times was that the second therapist on each visit was much less experienced than Cheryl and therefore, not satisfying. Neither one of the amateur therapists gave us deep tissue massages and their techniques lacked knowledge and attention.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience on both occasions except we need two Cheryls. We decided next time we will do back to back massages with her instead of opting for another couples' massage. That plan should make us happy and feeling satisfied.

Even for a couple that has had massages at many 5-star spas/resorts around the world, we are proud to say River Falls offers a great romantic spa experience.

We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and decided to try a couples massage. After looking at reviews here at TripAdvisor, we chose River Falls Spa and could not be any happier with our choice. We chose the "Table for Two", which is a private couples room with a hot tub, fire place and two massage tables. With this package both get a 90 minute multi phase massage and a twenty minute Hydrotherapy treatment, which is accompanied by chocolate covered strawberries and champagne.

Located on main street in downtown Greenville, this location makes for easy access to parking and all the other wonderful places downtown. After our visit, we were able to walk within minutes to one of our favorite spots for lunch.

The experience starts the minute you walk in the door. We were greeted immediately and offered a glass of either wine or champagne, of which we chose champagne. We were escorted down a very wide dark hallway. The lights were out and candles lines the way. Quiet relaxing tantric type music was playing which really set the mood.

We were taken to separate dressing/locker rooms were we found our names attached to our own locker with a pair of slippers and a robe waiting for us. With the exception of our bathing suits for Hydrotherapy, the rest was left locked in the locker.
We did a little paperwork and then was off to our couples room.

Holly and Hanna were our massage therapist and they both did a wonderful job and were very professional. I don't think there was a massage or treatment I didn't enjoy, but the foot massage at the end could have taken the whole 90 minutes and there would have been ZERO complaint from me...lol.

All in All it was a wonderful experience and we have decided to make it a twice a year gift to ourselves.

I recently traveled to Greenville for a girls weekend for my bday. We wanted to do a spa day and stumbled upon river falls on Google. I am so happy we did!

My friend got the glycolic and I got the attic berry facial. Both of our facials were done by Sharon. She was amazing! Not only did she do an amazing job on our skin, she was fun to talk to and gave great pointers about the area. The attic berry facial immediately made my skin look better. I have trouble with dry patches and this really helped.

The girl at the front desk, her name escapes me, was so friendly and kind. She even put a candle in some fruit to wish me a happy birthday. She had the mimosas ready to go right when we walked in and made us feel welcome and special the entire time.

The ambiance was the best I've ever seen in a spa. The reception area is warm and welcoming. To get to the spa area you walk down this amazing gothic looking hallway lit only by candles. The changing area is lovely and they offer a steam room to unwind while you wait.

We got to meet the opener when we were leaving and she was just as friendly and knowledgeable as the others. I cannot say enough about River Falls spa. We went to Greenville for a Pearl Jam concert and although I love Eddie Vedder, River Falls Spa was the highlight of my trip. Thank you ladies for making my birthday great!
