- Freyah B8 contributionsGreat theater expereanceI've seen the symphony and a couple of shows there. Every time I go the people working genuinely seem to be enjoying themselves. It's in a really good area and it's great to walk around and explore after.Visited July 2023Written August 5, 2023
- abcjjlEasley, South Carolina1,570 contributionsFirst class in every way.World class venue for seeing any type of show / concert. We saw 3 events here this summer: The plays - "To Kill a Mockingbird" and "Wicked" along with a Lady Antebellum concert, all three were delightful. The lighting, sound and seating situations were all outstanding. You owe it to yourself to enjoy a show here.Visited August 2023Traveled with familyWritten September 11, 2023
- CiCiSumter, South Carolina27 contributionsTaking action on an accessibility issue and going beyond the call of dutyOur sincere thanks to Lindsey for being proactive regarding accessibility. After being informed that our view from our wheelchair seats were totally obstructed when everyone stood up (which was the entire concert) she is making other arrangements for patrons assigned to those seats for the upcoming Steve Miller Band. We just bought our tickets for Lee Brice and were able to make sure we would be able to see. It’s so refreshing for someone to take action and then take it a step further Thank youVisited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten November 8, 2023

Attended Les Miserables March 4, 2020 and was very disapointed with the sound. I have seen this play in different venues and never before had problems understanding dialog and lyrics. From row T in the center orchestra seats, everyone around us had the same complaint. I don't know if this is a common problem with the accoustics in this venue or unique to this production.

We visited this theater from Asheville and were so impressed at how spacious and comfortable and nicely designed this theater was! The floor of orchestra seats has a gently sloping incline so that you can actually see over the row of seats/people sitting in front of you. Needs more bathrooms.... but overall a very well designed theater.

I've been to this place for literal decades. I saw my first real play here and it showed me the beauty of plays, musicals, etc. it's a very nice center with wonderful shows and experiences...
Ensure you're aware of dress codes and the times when you're allowed drinks/food/breaks/parking before coming in. The staff is generally pleasant with the regular southern attitude. Beware of other guests and their judgmental attitudes though LOL...
As always, fairly priced (sometimes way overpriced), great entertainment, plenty of things for children!

Beautiful facility. Friendly workers. Very enjoyable show (Life and Times of the Temptations). Lovely summer evening weather. Arrive about 1/2 hour before the start of your show that you can hit the restroom and get comfortably seated.

The Peace Center is a gem. Beautiful inside and out. Please take the time to get to your event early so you can explore the area. The Peace Center is within walking distance to Falls Park on the Reedy, many restaurants and parking nearby.

Been there many times but never saw staging like Aladdin, not even on Broadway. Volunteers are so helpful, the hearing aids really help and the prices are still reasonable. And acoustics are great. What an asset to downtown.

If you want the best seats for a show to this venue, and aren't a donor to the Peace Center - you're out of luck. Don't waste time trying to be the first to call the venue's ticketing line (I called and a recording came on telling me there was one person in front of me - the next recording said there were three). As it turns out, the Peace Center reserves all their best tickets to donors, leaving fans of the artists out in the cold. I got online the second tickets went on sale, and got stuck with 12th row corner seats. When I finally got an operator on the phone, I was told there were "PLENTY" of better seats available - if I wanted to donate hundreds of dollars to their facility!
I urge all artists who care anything about their fans to avoid this venue. Fans wanting to see a show here are forced to shell out BIG BUCKS. What an extortion racket....

I’m buying tickets to a comedy show at the peace center. I was wondering if anyone could elaborate on the obstructed view seating, if we wouldn’t be able to see? I figured since it’s just a comedian and not a Broadway style show it might be okay. Was also looking for clarification on the seats labeled as companion.

For a Broadway musical, would middle orchestra pit be good seats?

Yes, you see an assortment of everything. That is perfect. Enjoy!
I'm considering buying tickets in the second or third row of the upper balcony. Are these decent seats? From the few pictures I've seen it looks like there are handrails in the upper balcony. Do these block the view? Don't want to spend too much money but also want to enjoy the show. Thanks!

Whatever you feel like, goes, but we don't get too many opportunities to dress up, so we always dress nicely with a dress and at least a sports coat and a tie for my hubby.

I just bought tickets to a concert in the orchestra pit row AA. Can anyone tell me if those are great seats??? Are they completely first row?

Just found out that an event I'm attending will be filmed...what seats experience the most obstructions from camera gear and higher than normal staff foot traffic?

I haven't a clue. I agree with Pete B. above -- call the Ticket Office and ask them. They are staffed by some of the nicest people on earth; they'll help.
