Our party of four had a wonderful time on Tuesday night at the culinary tour. Chef Drew was amazing as were all the courses. John Nolan does a great job of giving local Greenville history between courses. You won't be disappointed!

My daughter and I had a wonderful culinary experience with John and Chef Zach! Table 301 was clean, elegant and well spaced out for a safe COVID experience. The five course meal was excellent!! We learned some Greenville history as well as tasted food from 5 local restaurants. Each course was beautifully presented and delicious🎉. I would highly recommend Greenville History Tours with John Nolan, and look forward to a culinary walking tour in the future!

Due to COVID-19 this tour was conducted at one location, but included excellent dishes from each of 5 restaurants. Nothing was lost with this accommodation as far as I am concerned. The food was well-prepared and delicious and the drink pairings were spot on. My favorite drink was a cocktail of lavender syrup, gin and champagne. The Crispy Brussel Sprouts from The Lazy Goat were outstanding. So much so that I am going there next week for a meal. John did a nice job sharing some downtown Greenville history with a slide show. It was just enough information to be interesting but not overwhelming. Now I am trying to convince my sons to come to Greenville over the holidays so that we can take them and their spouses on this same tour!

My wife and I did this tour in July 2019 and August 2020. In July of 2019 we LOVED it. Loved walking around and going to all of the 5 restaurants and learning history all along the way. It was so much fun to interact with John and the other participants and seeing in person how parts of Greenville have changed in the present (and in the past via pictures provided). My wife was even pregnant at the time and many of the restaurants were super accommodating to her in providing non-alcoholic drinks. In August 2020, John was just re-emerging out of all the COVID restrictions and providing an alternative experience. For us out of towners, the food was excellent, but the experience was just different. We all set at separate tables (each of the groups) so we were only interacting with our party, which was again fine just different. John would be talking about different aspects of the town and how it had changed and would show us pictures of the past but we were stationary in one restaurant (to minimize COVID risk completely understandably) and we did not have those mental pictures in our head of the current view of whatever area of town he was discussing. Therefore, the history portion of the tour was not as great for us as out of towners and not as familiar with the area but as I said the food was still EXCELLENT.

Thanks for returning for the tour! I'm glad you enjoyed the food and experience again. It is regrettable that COVID restrictions currently prevent us from offering the same experience as before walking around to 5 restaurants, so I'm glad you still enjoyed our event.

Under the circumstances of COVID, this tour was exceptional. The staff took great care in planning and implementing the activities. The food was wonderful and the historic facts of Greenville were interesting. We plan on experiencing it again soon.
