The At the Chef’s Table Culinary Tour affords guests the opportunity to sit at the tables of some of the city’s top chefs and sample their signature dishes. Tours include special access and experiences that go far beyond the normal dining encounter. Not only do you get to meet the chefs and sample their creations, but you also get to see cooking demonstrations (usually offered on Tuesday tours), eat in elegant private dining areas, and more. Stops include visits to: Nose Dive (Gastropub) Soby's on the Side (Deli and Catering)* The Lazy Goat (Mediterranean cuisine and tapas) Soby's New South Cuisine (fine Southern cuisine) Passarelle Bistro (French inspired cuisine) Beyond the memorable culinary experiences, you will also learn fascinating insights into Greenville’s rich history, culture and architecture as well. (*If a restaurant has a schedule conflict, a stop at The Loft at Soby's or Papi's Tacos may be substituted. )

John Nolan owns the tour business and conducts the tours personally. Nice mix of local history, meeting restaurant staff/chefs at each of the 5 restaurants, and a review of the dishes. Food was terrific. At $45 per person for this 3-hour gem, it is a bargain. If this review is helpful then please indicate so below.

This was our first culinary tour and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our guide John mixed Greenville history in with restaurant backgrounds-we learned about the city, while we were treated to five delicious courses, at five separate locations. We were able to meet the chef's at most of the restaurants, and enjoyed hearing their backgrounds, and why they chose to prepare... More

We love culinary tours. Who would think our favorite was in Greenville SC. We came to the town to visit our son and booked this tour for the three of us. The restaurants were wonderful and all included drinks too. The food was bountiful. We could not finish everything as the night wore on. The tour started at 6pm and... More

I had never been on a culinary tour before this one. It was a great way to be introduced to the city and the culinary scene. John, the leader of the tour, was very knowledgable about the city and able to answer many questions and provide a number of recommendations for other restaurants to try out. I definitely recommend this... More

It was our first trip to Greenville as well as our first food tour and it turned out to be a very yummy and informative afternoon. Our guide John did an awesome job giving us historical information about Greenville and was very knowledgeable about all five of the restaurants we visited. The food was good at some places, excellent at... More

I would recommend this tour to all but keep in mind there are a lot of stairs and walking. Food was wonderful and with the mixed drinks or wine served at each stop you definitely get more than your moneys worth. Non alcoholic drinks and water were also included if requested. Servings were generous and unique. All restaurants were well... More

We went on this tour with our faculty to celebrate the end of the year. It was amazing! We were able to meet the chefs, eat amazing dishes from 5 different restaurants and learn about Greenville all in the span of 3 hours. Well worth the money!

This was a nice tour, but don't eat lunch before you come as the portions are huge! Our first two stops had more than we eat for lunch usually & we were quite full. Also, the first two stops were very similar...so there was a bit too much of the same on the tour. Would be nice if it were... More

The tour ended up being great after some confusion as to where we'd be starting the tour as it was not mentioned on any of the confirmations received. The tour seems coordinated with the Table 301 restaurants as it just goes to those places. On my tour, we went to five different restaurants and stopped at some other places for... More
