We wanted some outdoor hiking and the range recommended two hour long loops. We chose the ridge loop which circled near the top of the mountain. Peaceful hike through the woods with some slopes, but nothing difficult. Well maintained and well marked trails. One recommendation...More

A nice campsite, clean restrooms/bath house. My ONLY issue is the hour that the gate to the park is locked. In truth it isn't the "hour" 9pm, (although if you have plans downtown getting back by 9pm is impossible) but there is a bit of...More

This place is close to the city of Greenville but you wouldn't think so when you get here. Awesome views not crowded and peaceful. We will definitely be coming here as much as we can.

Easy to follow trails for mountain biking. The trails are also used for hikers, so you have keep an eye out for them. It cost $5 for an adult, so if you are going to visit often, buy a park pass. The main downside is...More

Great place to come with the kids, for a hike or a run. One of our favorite places in the Greenville area.

More of a municipal park. Probably great for kids. No great hikes. Lots of places to picnic though and many restrooms.

Trying to escape the South Carolina heat? This park is a good place to start! It is on the edge of Greenville and is far more vast than one would imagine. Admission to the park is $5 per person $3 for young children, and includes...More

There are so many trails that I do not remember. The longest, I think, is eight miles if you stay non the same trail.

If you are asking about the length of the walk around the lake, it can take between 30 - 40 minutes, depending on your pace.

Places to eat and walk near REI and B&N (3 Replies)
I need to be in these two stores and have about 2-3 hours of free time. Can someone recommend a nice sit down place to have a lunch? No fast food, Mexican or Chinese. Is anywhere nearby a park or a path where I can walk before or after my lunch? I checked out Paris Mountain State Park but with my limited time it doesn't look like I can get there and enjoy a walk around the lake. Thank you for any help and suggestions you can provide.
