Motown Magic

Such a fun time at the “I Feel Good” tribute to Motown! High energy and a just plain fun evening out. So much singing talent that was shared during the evening performance.

Nice Theater, Adequate Performances
Oct 2019
This was our first venture into live theater in Greenville and we saw Little Shop of Horrors. The theater is very nice, laid out well and all seats look to be very easy viewing. The sound and lights were very accommodating and the set was very well done. I have seen this show , besides the movie, two other times. Once with an animated plant and another time with an actor as Audrey II. This was a live actor with puppetry as it is small. The puppetry was well done. The actor was a little over the top and heard to understand . He seemed to be shouting. Seymour was marvelous and Audrey was more than adequate. The rest were typical community theater; although the chorus when individually singing were better singers than when they sang together. I enjoyed the overall performance and wpould go back.

We had a fun night at Centre Stage watching the show. These performers are so good and the show was very entertaining! This was our first time on the front row. We were really up close! Highly recommend for a fun and entertaining evening!

Up Close and Personal
Jun 2019 • Friends
We really enjoy the plays here. The venue us small compared to the Peace Center or Wellness arena but that's what makes it so enjoyable, the intimacy of it. You "feel" like you're there with the actors. You can become a part of the emotions because you can see their expressions and body language so clearly.

Always Good Local Entertainment
May 2019 • Couples
This Spring we've been to Centre Stage many times to see a wide variety of shows. Musicals, fun-filled and some more serious, but we always find them worthwhile. Our latest was Noises Off and from start, to finish you were laughing and having a grand time. Community theatre is special and we're glad we have Centre Stage downtown Greenville.

They canceled the show but would not refund my money.
Dec 2018 • Couples
BEWARE!! Centre Stage canceled the matinee with only hours to spare but refused to refund my money. I was visiting and live in another part of the country. It was impossible to get a manager to return my calls and/or written communication. Ignoring customers is rude and insensitive. One should not have to fight to get a refund for lack of service. This was the absolute worst experience.

Great little place to see shows.

We had tickets for the "Sinatra" show. First time there and what a nice surprise. No bad seats in the place. Not sure how many it holds but it is a great place to see shows. Make sure you get tickets early.

Great singing
Jan 2019 • Couples
We saw Shaboom Shaboom last night. The singing was great - the cast members all have good voices and sang the songs well. My two complaints: The choreography was so overdone it was distracting; there is practically a separate body movement for each note. Silly. And I know that the originals were not done that way. Second:
the tempo and volume reflected the choreography: too much. Many songs too loud and too fast. No ballads. But they were the songs of my youth, and so I loved it, in spite of issues. Missed poodle skirts and page boys, tho.

We're Fortunate to have Centre Stage Here in Greenville, SC
Jan 2019 • Couples
The other night my wife and I saw Shaboom-Shaboom and a few weeks earlier we saw Laughing All the Way, we're members at Centre Stage and suggest if you aren't you should join and take advantage of all they have to offer. The hardworking casts always put so much energy into the shows we see here. We are a better community because of Community Theatre so let's show our support for them.
