Nice Example of an Antibelum Home

This is a beautiful example of architecture typical of the old south. Tour the house, the surrounding gardens and visit the small gift shop.

This is a two for one deal in that two houses are included - the Kiminski and Stewart houses. Re the Kaminski house, it was originally built in the 1700s but had two subsequent additions. The additions make for an unusual design in that there are 2 main staircases - one for the old and one for an addition. They... More

This place is right on Front St. The guide was the best. She even made it interesting for young children.

The location is very nice right on the river. We were permitted to have a picnic on the front lawn and it was very nice. The house itself is nice but has a lot of items from the 40s and 50s so it's like touring a house your grandparents might have lived in. There are a few pieces of furniture... More

On your visit to historic waterfront Georgetown SC you MUST stop by the Kaminski House museum! It has the best views from the front lawn and you can have a special event there if you like. The tour is amazing, the staff so incredible and helpful and the views are spectacular! There is so much history in the quaint waterfront... More

The nicest thing about this experience was the tour guide, who was very personable... and knowledgeable. The Kaminski House is well preserved piece of Americana that was worth the modest admission fee. If you visit Georgetown you have to see at least two things; One, is the Kaminski House, and two, drive up and down the Live Oak & Spanish... More

I found Kaminski House to be a lovely historic home. The furnishings are beautiful and the interior is tastefully appointed. The outside gardens are peaceful and tranquil to spend some time in as well. The museum store has many unusual gifts that represent regional heritage. Worth a visit.

We were touring prior to attending a talk on Washinton's Southern Tour of 1791. It was a very good tour and Lisa knew a lot about the houses and their owners, especially the Kaminskis. Enjoyed it very much.

The Kaminski House is one of the most interesting house tours that I have ever taken. My husband and I tour houses in all cities that we visit. The antiques are beautiful and the story of the Kaminski family is very interesting and historical. For Pearl Harbor historians, this is the house to visit. The Docent was very knowledgeable and... We enjoyed the tour at the Kaminski House. It was heavy on more modern history, 19th/20th, but then it was named after Kaminski. I would have liked more 18th century and how it fit in with all the other houses in Georgetown that are almost two hundred years old. Still a beautiful house, great furnishings, beautiful views and good history.... More

Thank you for your feedback on your tour of the Kaminski House Museum. As you know the Kaminskis' were the last owners of the house and consequently our tours focus heavily upon their era (1931-1972). We appreciate your feedback and I will let all of our volunteer docents know that visitors also want to know more about the earlier years... More
