This would be much nicer if the video was on a loop so you could watch if you wanted (instead of watching the whole 20-25 minutes of an obviously old video). Also, the guide talked too much for my liking - I prefer to wander and read about the things that interest me with someone available to answer questions.

The price is so afforable that you can't go wrong. Our tour was fantastic. Very interesting and well taken cared of. It took around an hour. They give militray discounts and student discounts too. The gift store is a perfect place to find interesting finds and original South Carolina Long Rice.

Thorough, interesting history of the area centered on this central crop in all its facets, from all points of view. Our guide was most knowledgeable and pleasant and able to answer questions while moving us safely and efficiently through this old, cramped and sometimes fragile museum on a busy day.

We arrived in the morning and enjoyed a tour of the museum that lasted about an hour or a bit more. Some of the displays are a bit dated but they aid the visitor learn about the production of this important crop that was shipped around the world. The price is right for the quality of the museum and I would recommend a visit if you are in the area.

The museum utilizes well trained history scholars for tour guides who explain the vast history of the Georgetown area in interesting detail. The tour is best for persons who can walk and climb stairs, there are no handicap accommodations.
