Earlier trolley tours were full that Monday morning so I booked the 3:00. I ended up being the only passenger! It was great. The guide's family has been in Georgetown ever since the 1740s so he knows all there is about the town and its history. I asked many questions, all of which he answered. Thoroughly enjoyable. Highly recommend this relaxing, informative, fun tour!

I only had about half a day in Georgetown, so the woman at the visitor's center recommended that I take this tour. The tour lasts about an hour and takes you around the historic district, stopping at different sites along the way. Our guide seemed new but still very knowledgeable, although, being a historian, I did catch a few minor errors. The vehicle is open to the air, so it was rather hot in late July when I went. But, it was still better than walking around myself! I would definitely recommend it if you are short on time.

Today we took the Swamp Fox Tour's trolley in Georgetown SC's Historic District. It's a 1 hour narrated tour in a nice little 14 seat trolley pulled by a jeep. Tour Guide Brian is amazingly knowledgeable about the history of the area. We have taken this tour before and it always gets better with new information in each presentation. Only $15/person, Book for 11 AM, 1 PM, or 3 PM. Tickets at Urban Farmhouse Coffee Shop 927 Front St. 843-833-8130.

We highly recommend the Swamp Fox tours! Bryan, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant. Tour lasts about an hour, and we had no idea Georgetown had so many historical houses. Beautiful homes with so many stories to go with them. The downtown area is quite nice with shops, etc. If you are visiting the MB area, the drive down is definitely worth it,

This was an amazing tour. Over an hour long, it was fun to ride on an open air tram hitched to a jeep. Only downside was it was a cold April day, but blankets were provided. Dress for the weather. Jan, our driver and guide was so knowledgeable.

Swamp Fox Tour - Very informative and well worth the cost for a quick 1 hour tour. Tour guide was excellent and plenty of free parking in the area. Lot of good restaurants to chose from within walking distance

First our guide was gracious enough to take us even though it was just my wife and I. He had deep roots in the community and was on the preservation board so really knew his stuff. He relayed the information in an interesting and fun way. We came away with a deeper understanding of the town, plus memories of a fun time.

My friend and I wanted to learn more about Georgetown, SC so we took this trip. We got to see lots of historic homes and learned a ton. Our guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. You can tell she loves the town and the history. Great value. $15 for the tour which was about an hour.

The tours runs every hour. You ride in a small tram. It was only $10 (I believe). It ran about an hour. It was very entertaining. The guide seemed to know everything about Georgetown (and the South). He pointed out the architectural styles of various decades. We also went inside a church that used to be used as a "schoolhouse" for former slaves to teach them how to read and write.
